Before written rhyme
There was an epic love
Biggest one of all time
The Sun was a manly orb
Who boasted radiant light
None could compete with him
Though they tried with all there might
The Moon was fair
Shy and quaint
She had hid from light
In dark paint
One day in a gathering with God
Stumbled into each other they did
Which lead to multiple dates
They'd meet each other
In the celestial sky
And talked of things
Like homemade apple pie
A planet was born
By Gods mighty hand
But jealous he grew
Of love, that like time, slipped through his fingers into sand
A plan was hatched
To split up the two
To kill them both
And there baby stars too
He made it so
That when they meet
All would die
Scorched at there feet
Devastated they were
When all the Dinos were dead
So they turned to God for help
And so he did
He separated them
Into Day and night
So that they could never touch
Even if they tried
Cruel God thought
So another gift he gave
For them to meet
On sunrise and sunset, with shadows on graves
Punish he did
The jealous Earth
Domed it was
To forever burn
The Sun uncaring
Grew hot when willed
The Moon more forgiving
Backed up and fiddled
And that is why
Day after Day
You see the Sun and Moon
Chasing each other to their graves
