Part Thirty-Eight
Patrick's POV
Finally, it was the WEEKEND. I was starting to like the weekend just as much as Max and Lily. They didn't have to do homework, and I didn't have to get up at six in the morning for a few days. It made me smile.
Max, Lily, and I sat around the kitchen table for breakfast. The both of them seem to have the same liking of strawberry milkshakes as her mother and I do so we decided they could have one this morning. Usually twins actually have to actually EAT their breakfast, because we wanna make sure they get the proper 'nutrition' for the day. And I'll be the first to admit: they probably aren't the best for you. No...I take that back. It's fresh fruit and milk. Vitamins and calcium. It HAS to be good for you.
Anyways.
I invited everyone over so we could have a party of sorts for no reason really. Well, I wanted to tell them about Kel being pregnant again, and I know Max and Lily haven't seen them in awhile, and they always like it when everyone comes over. And honestly, I missed them all too.
At the moment, Kel was getting sick in the bathroom again. I got used to the morning sickness when she was pregnant with the twins, but this one seemed a little less...constant. It may not happen often, but when it did, it lasted for awhile. I felt really bad that I couldn't do anything, but usually if I walked in on her getting sick, she would yell at me to get out. So...I just kinda...leave it alone.
I was sitting down with Lily and Max, and I seen a van pull into the driveway. Max and Lily both practically forgot their breakfast and ran to the door to open it.
"UNCLE PETE!!!!" they both shouted.
I looked at Pete standing in the doorway, hugging both twins. "Hey, my little tyrants! How've you been?"
I seen Ashlee walk in close behind him. I expected her to be here; Pete proposed to her a few months ago, so they were now engaged. I knew I was right when i said they were a serious relationship. Andy and Farrah followed her, and Joe was with...some girl I had never seen before. Kel walked out of the bathroom and stood closely by my side as she watched everyone enter.
"Who's that girl with Joe?" she hissed.
"I have no clue."
"She's gorgeous."
"I guess." I shrugged. She definitely wasn't MY type. Face-wise, she actually looked a little like Farrah. She had short blonde hair, and brown eyes. She seemed really cheerful, but...you can't judge a book by it's cover, I suppose.
"What do you mean, 'I guess'? She's beautiful!"
"She's not you, hon." I replied, shrugging. I felt her warm lips press onto my cheek and I smiled. She whispered in my ear. "You're so sweet."
"I try, sugar." I grinned.
"TRICK!" I heard the guys all say when I walked into the living room after them. A giant group hug with all the guys followed, along with Farrah, Ashlee, Kel, and the new girl joining into a circle, discussing stuff and saying hi. We all soon sat down to our respective partners, and Max and Lily sat down right between Kel and I.
I spoke up first. "God, it is SO good to see you guys again. However, I don't believe I have been introduced to your friend, Joe."
Pete piped up too. "Yeah, actually. I didn't meet her until you told me to pick her up on the way here."
Joe smiled and held her hand. "This is Mary. She's my girlfriend. We've been dating for awhile now."
Mary looked at all of us. "Probably about a year or so. It's nice to meet you all." she said shyly, flashing a smile in our direction.
Joe pointed in a circle to everyone. "Mary, this is Pete, Ashlee, his...now fiancé, Farrah and Andy, and Patrick, Keliah, and their twins, Maxwell and Lily."
We all waved at her. She seemed nice. She didn't look like an evil slut, she seemed too nice to be anything but sweet. Andy clapped his hands together. "Hey, Trick, wasn't there actually a legit reason you called us over here?"
"Uh, yeah, actually. It's not as big of a deal as it was the first time, but-"
Kel giggled. "I'm pregnant again, everybody."
Everyone cheered in the room, congratulations flying from every direction.
"Jesus Christ, Trick, you just can't STOP, can you?" Pete joked, a huge smile on his devious face. I just rolled my eyes and laughed. "Come on, dude. Kids in the room. Very IMPRESSIONABLE kids in the room."
Pete got out from his chair and sat on the floor with his legs crossed. "That reminds me. I've got something for you two."
Max and Lily sprung to attention and sat down in front of Pete. "Now, you've heard your parents sing, am I right?"
I looked at the twins. I wasn't sure whether or not they remembered that we sang to them when they were babies. But, they surprised me. "Yes!" they both cried.
"Well, do you remember what the song was?"
Then, I got the answer I expected. "Nope." they said.
Pete pulled out a cassette tape out of his pocket and held it out to the both of them. Max grabbed it first. Pete looked at them intently. "This is the song your parents would sing to you when you were little. Take VERY good care of that tape. That way you can listen to it WHENEVER you feel like it."
Kel smiled at Pete. "You kept the tape?"
"Yep. That was actually the tape we had sent to the DJ at first. And guess what? The bast-, I mean...idiot hated it. Apparently he wanted something 'upbeat and fun'.
Maybe he should've said that before we recording something. Anyways, he sent it back to us with a nasty note, and I figured what better reason to give the tape to the kids instead. They'll actually like it, unlike some moron across the country that didn't...." he grumbled. Kel got the twins' attention.
"Hey, Max, Lily, you can go into our room and play it if you wanna hear it now."
They happily ran to our room and now we were finally able to speak freely. I could tell from the strained look on Pete's face, he was tried really hard not to blow up about that DJ. "Pete? You can go ahead and vent now."
Pete took a deep breath. "How the fuck could you not like that song? It's PERFECT. It's got your voice, and it's got Kel's voice, and it's soft and sweet. It's a fucking LULLABYE for Christ's sake! What is WRONG with that guy?"
We all waited for Pete to finish. After about 5 more minutes of cursing and complaining, he was finally done. "Alright. I'm done ranting now."
Ashlee giggled at his exhaustion. "You really shouldn't get so worked up over it. Everyone has an opinion, you know."
"It's not my fault that his opinion is stupid."
She responded with another giggle, taking his hand in hers. I caught a glimpse of the huge ring on her finger from Pete. Kel noticed it first.
"Jeez, Ash, that's a hell of a ring." Kel said, pointing to her left hand.
Ashlee held it up, letting it sparkle in the light. "It's beautiful isn't it?"
"It is fantastic, Ash. It looks amazing." she replied.
Joe and Andy both nodded. "That thing is definitely quite a rock. It's insane how huge some of those wedding rings are." Andy said, shaking his head.
I seen Kel glance down at her ring that's been permanent on her finger for the past 7 years. I seen a smile flicker across her face as she looked back up at everyone else again. "The ring that Patrick got me is pretty big, I'll admit. But the diamond is in the shape of a heart, so that makes it even better."
Joe smirked. "That's right, Patrick got all fancy with his."
I rolled my eyes at him. "I did not get FANCY with it. I picked out a ring I thought she would like. You wanna talk about fancy, check this out." I said sarcastically, holding up the gold band on my ring finger.
Pete faked a shiver. "Oooooooh, you wanna back away from that. That ring could kill." he joked.
"Oh yeah? Is yours any better?"
Pete held up a silver band that matched Ashlee's. "I dunno, mine's pretty awesome."
"Yeah. That REALLY looks spectacular."
Kel held up a hand to stop us both. "Alright, alright, already. There is no need to be fighting over rings." Ashlee nodded. "Yeah, it looks ridiculous, guys."
We both looked at each other and burst out laughing, causing everyone else to start laughing too. Joe spoke up, holding onto Mary's hand.
"Ah, well, at least the arguing is back to normal."
Pete coughed. "I ALMOST FORGOT. How would you guys like to play a few shows? Nothing really fancy but, it's like a....mini-mini-tour. Only a few days. I don't know about YOU guys, but I miss performing."
Farrah piped up. "Where are you going to be playing?...if everyone decides to do it, of course." she added nervously.
"A few random venues around here in Chicago, some in Michigan, some in lower Illinois. Just like old days except....less....suckish-ness."
"That actually sounds like fun." I said, thinking about it. "Sure. I'm in."
Andy agreed. "Yep. Count me in too."
Joe threw his hands in the air. "I guess we're performing again, then!"
Clapping started up again as the four girls cheered. Pete looked at me cautiously. "It is only about a week and a half worth of shows, but the shows are far enough away that we all might not be home for a few days. Is that ok with everyone?"
I was about to open my mouth in protest against leaving the twins, but Kel's arm wrapped around mine to stop me. "I can handle it for a few days. Go. Perform. We've talked about this before. It's in your blood. I can never deny you the chance to do what you love, Trick. We both know that."
I was about to try to protest again but she held a finger to my lips. "No. No arguing. You're going to perform, and you're going to be amazing." I finally bowed my head in defeat. She gently put her hand under my chin. "Trust me, the twins will understand and they will still love you when they get back. I promise." she said with a smile. I looked back at the rest of them, who were all watching me intently, and said, "I guess I'm definitely in, then!"
Everyone cheered again, and Joe patted me on the back. "Good to have our singer on board. It would be kind of a terrible show without anyone singing in the front."
I nodded. "I suppose."
Pete giggled slightly and I quickly looked at him. "What is SO funny?"
"I just remembered that none of our fans have seen you like...THAT, yet."
"What do you mean, like THAT? What's wrong with me this time?"
"No, no, it's nothing wrong with you. It's just...." Pete tried to stifle back more laughing. "...no one's seen you with your sexy body yet!" As he finished he burst out laughing, trying hard to continue. "Can you see all the girls that are gonna be fainting in the front? We're gonna need ALOT of cold water!"
With that, Andy and Joe started laughing with him too, reveling in the humor of the situation. I simply shook my head as a grin came on my face.
"Come on, we all know that's not gonna happen, so you can put it out of your minds."
I felt Kel's hand intertwine with mine and she giggled a bit too. I could tell she was trying to bite back her laughter as well.
"Honey, they're probably right you know. You look incredibly.....oh, how do I say this without sounding perverted....um...handsome. I'm sure you're gonna have a few girls faint. Maybe scream your name like they're going to die. Possibly try and run onstage and grab you." she started laughing again.
The other three girls didn't think it was funny. They all proceeded to punch their boyfriends in the arm. Farrah scowled. "And what's wrong with Patrick getting the attention he deserves?"
Ashlee nodded firmly. "Yeah. What's so funny about it?"
Mary frowned. "Patrick's just as good as the rest of you."
Pete rubbed his arm where Ashlee hit him and stopped laughing. "We're not saying he doesn't deserve it; we've been saying THAT for years. It's more of the fact that FINALLY, he's getting the attention. Not me, not Joe, not Andy, but the guy in the front. We're laughing because we can just imagine all the girls that were yelling our names at first, squinting at the stage saying, 'Who's the hot guy in the front?', then figuring out it's Patrick and then realizing what they haven't noticed for the past, I don't know, THOUSANDS OF YEARS."
Kel nodded. "All those girls had better be able to see that gold band on his finger before they try anything."
Joe shook his head. "You know they'll try something anyways."
"I suppose you're right. Doesn't stop me from wanting to kick some fangirl's ass for making the wrong move someday. Luckily, none of Patrick's fans have been that...obnoxious....yet."
"Yeah, just wait until they see him. They'll get even worse." Andy said.
I tried to change the subject. They were just being ridiculous now. "So, uh, when does this whole deal start?"
"Two days." Pete replied.
"Damnit, Pete, you need to stop telling people on such short notice."
"Sorry. I didn't know until a few days ago!"
Max and Lily came running back into the room. "MOMMY, DADDY!!!" Lily ran into my arms. I set her up on my lap. "What is it, sweetheart?"
"Your singing is pretty."
I smiled as everyone else laughed at her bluntness. Max ran over to Pete, Andy and Joe. "Uncle Andy, did you know daddy has a pretty voice?"
"We've known for quite awhile, Max." Andy smiled.
"Mommy has a pretty voice too." Max said proudly, making all three guys laugh.
"That she does. Your mom and dad were a match made in heaven." Pete said before tackling Max and tickling him. Lily stayed on my lap, her arms clung around my neck. She was so beautiful. My little girl. Today, her ginger hair was pulled into two ponytails on either side of her head, making her look even younger than her few years. Her bright green eyes were still lit up with happiness. I don't think that's changed since she was born. People always said she looked like me, and she did, as far as the color of her hair and her eyes, but her face looked more and more like Kel's every day. As she aged, that same radiating beauty was showing through.
By now, I was positive I would have quite a fight on my hands when she got old enough to date. At least that was ALOT of years away.
I pulled her closer and kissed her on the forehead. She then loosened her grip on my neck and ran to go save Max from Pete. She put up a fair fight, but soon enough, Pete had them both pinned to the floor. I laughed as I watched him let both of the twins roll over and pin HIM to the floor. Max got bored and left Lily to try and take on Pete. Max ran into his mother's arms and sat on her lap for awhile. Max was just as beautiful as Lily. He had these big brown eyes that, I swear, have gotten even bigger since he was a baby. Unfortunately, that lets him get practically anything he wants from both me AND his mother. I need to work on my immunity to that. His hair was a light auburn color, almost a halfway point between hers and my hair. He was adorable, but don't tell him I said that; he wants to grow up to be a MAN, so calling him adorable might not make him happy. Unless it's by Keliah. Then he doesn't care.
I'm sure I'm gonna have a problem with him as a teenager too. His confidence level already is far too high for his own good. That's not saying much compared to me, but even so. He can't have a gazillion girls clawing at my door. Rule number 1: No massive amounts of girls hanging out on the doorstep at once. That'll be put into place as soon as he starts to notice girls.
I shook my head at my own thoughts, grinning to myself at my over exaggerated plans. Kel's voice snapped me back to attention.
"Trick....TRICK!"
"What?"
"Just seeing if you were still with me."
"Yeah...I just spaced out there for a second."
"I see." she giggled. "Do you want me to help you pack?"
"I'll do it later on tonight probably. It's too early in the morning to do it now."
She nodded in agreement, and Max got off her lap, running to Farrah and sitting comfortably beside her leg on the floor. Pete finally let up on Lily and she ran towards me again, clinging to my leg, her arms wrapped around it tightly.
"You can't get me now! I've got daddy!" she shouted towards Pete. I looked at him and smirked. "It seems as though I've been claimed as bodyguard."
Pete sat up on his knees and sighed. "I believe you're right. Well, I guess you win this time Lily. You know my only weakness is your father."
Kel gave Pete a look and said, "Pete....watch it."
"I wasn't going to say anything like that!"
"You were thinking it Peter Wentz."
He was silent for awhile and then a smirk came over his face. "You're right. I was."
"Stop thinking about my husband like that!"
"You can't take it out of my mind, so there!" Pete stuck his tongue out at Kel like a 3 year old. Lily followed suit. "Yeah, so there!"
I laughed and asked Lily, "Do you even know what they're talking about?"
"Nope." she said with a smile.
We all laughed at her response and she relaxed, leaning against my leg. Pete took Ashlee's hand and stood up. "Well, I really hate to leave, but if we don't me and Ash are gonna be late for a doctor's appoint-" He stopped midsentence. "-I mean, we're going to be late for our....laundry to be finished. Yeah, that's it."
Joe burst out into laughter. "Yeah, that's TOTALLY what you meant to say. Out with it, Wentz, you're hiding something."
"I didn't wanna tell anyone and steal Kel and Patrick's thunder."
Kel giggled. "And what thunder is that that we have? Come on, tell us."
Pete looked at Ashlee and she smiled. Pete turned back to us with a sigh and said, "Fine, I'll tell you. Ash is pregnant too."
Kel clapped her hands excitedly. "YAY, now the next baby can have a friend around it's own age when it grows up."
Ashlee smiled wide. "I know, right?!" Almost instantly, both girls were standing next to each other talking about stuff until Pete interrupted them again. "Really, hon, if we don't leave now we're going to be late for the appointment. And you all hitched a ride with me, so that counts all of you too, so I need time to drop your asses off."
Ashlee said her goodbyes to Kel and I, and eventually everyone stood up.
Farrah hugged Kel and then me. "I'm right down the street if you need anything, I promise." she told us.
We both nodded and watched as they all walked out the front door, Max and Lily trying to follow them as they went out. We pulled them both back, holding them close and watched everyone pile into Pete's van. We waved goodbye and then they were gone.
"Well...I guess starting to pack now wouldn't hurt. Especially if I'm leaving in two days." I sighed. Max and Lily clung onto me.
"Where are you going, daddy?" they asked me, looking up with sad eyes.
It was then that I realized that they still didn't know what I did, and they didn't know that normally their dad couldn't walk outside without being noticed. I stared down at them at a loss for words. Luckily, Kel was there to back me up. She knelt down on her knees and started explaining.
"So, we all know that daddy has a pretty voice, right?"
They nodded enthusiastically.
"Well, your dad gets paid to sing pretty for people that like his music. Uncle Pete, Uncle Joe, and Uncle Andy all play music with him for people. But, sometimes he has to perform away from home. Unfortunately we can't keep his beautiful voice all to ourselves." she said with a smirk, looking back up at me. I smiled back and continued. "I only have to leave for a few days, a week maybe. I'll be back home before you know it." I said reassuringly, trying so hard to ignore the sad looks on their faces. The way they looked made this even harder for me to leave. I knelt down to them on the floor and took them both into my arms. "I'll be back before you know it." I whispered, biting back tears. "You won't even have time to know I was away..."

FAST FORWARD TWO DAYS
Keliah's POV
The tour bus was waiting outside the house. I stood there gazing out the window at it. It felt strange to see that bus waiting and not getting ready to be on it. I was going to miss Patrick more than he even realized. He promised to call every day and come home as soon as he could, but him not being around was going to be so strange. It'd been so long since he'd been performing, I'd almost forgot it was an "occupational hazard" with him. He had to tour. He'd spent so much time helping me raise the kids, and he's been there through all of it, I think he himself had forgotten how much he loved to perform. I forgot how much I liked watching him perform. The look of passion on his face, the concentration...the absolute sexiness of it all. The muffled sound of his foot slamming onto the stage in perfect time of the Andy's drumming. Those faces he made when he sang, sometimes hilarious, sometimes just outright orgasmic. My daydreaming was soon interrupted by a hand grabbing my arm and pulling me backward. As soon as I turned around, Patrick's body was pressed tightly against mine. There was a fire in his eyes that I recognized and knew oh-so-well. Without a word, his hand ran down the side of my face, his fingers tangled in my hair, and he kissed me hard.
I pulled away from it for a second and looked into his eyes again. I was right. His green eyes had a fiery glow to them, making the passion in them even more noticeable.
"I need you. Just one last time before I go." he said almost pleadingly. His lips quickly met my neck as I breathed out a response.
"What about the twins?"
"They're in the music room. The SOUND-PROOF music room." he said between kisses.
I gasped as his fingers brushed against my thigh. He must've taken that for a yes, because next thing I knew, I was swept up off my feet and taken to the bedroom, being thrown down onto the bed. He was being surprisingly rougher than normal, but the fire in his eyes was getting stronger, and I wasn't about to complain about this new, wild side of Patrick. I liked it.
Clothes were ripped off easily, and he started in quickly. His tongue started just above my extremities, and licked from my stomach up to my neck. His lips met mine again, and his hands pinned my hips to the bed.
"Patrick, I..." I tried to stutter. I wanted him in me so badly, but I couldn't speak long enough for me to get my message across.
"I know." he said softly in my ear. His voice was so different than his movements. I felt him grind up hard against me, making me moan out, and I finally felt him at my entrance. He stayed there for awhile, teasing me. He never moved an inch in, he just stayed right where he was. He wanted a reaction? I gave him a reaction. I pulled his face close to mine, wiping that smirk right off his face and kissed him, putting my hands on his shoulders to pull him closer to me. Not being in control anymore made him press firmly into me, giving the reins back to him. My hands that were placed on his shoulder were soon pinned to the bed by his hands. He had a firm grip on my wrists as I writhed underneath him, moaning with each thrust.
God, I was going to miss this.
"Oh god, Kel..." I heard him moan softly, as he pressed into me.
I responded with a scream, his penis hitting the perfect spot inside me. He realized what he did and paused for a second.
"You've never screamed like that before." he said questioningly.
"And it was a good thing, now don't stop..." I replied quickly, trying to egg him on. He continued, trying to repeat what he did the first time. He succeeded numerous times, his name escaping my lips every time he did it. I'd already gotten two orgasms from his new discovery, and I was still begging for more. His thrusts became fast, hard, and steady as he came closer and closer to climax. Thrusts soon became softer, and soon enough he unloaded inside me as I orgasmed again. We both stared into each others eyes for a moment. The fire in his eyes had settled down, and slowly but surely, love came bursting through them every time.
He leaned down and kissed me, softly and gently.
"I have to go." he said apologetically between kisses.
"I know." I whispered.
For the first time, we got up sadly and put our clothes back on. He grabbed his bag and took my hand. As we walked back into the living room, I glanced over at the music room. There were Lily and Max playing with instruments in the room, completely oblivious to the outside world. He was about to walk towards them, but I gently touched his arm, gesturing for him to stay. I opened the door to the music room, and they quickly just ran past me towards Patrick. We all stood at the doorway at the front of the house as Patrick knelt down and said his goodbyes.
"Lily, Max, no giving your mother problems while I'm gone. Promise?"
"We promise." they said in unison.
Lily ran towards him and hugged him tightly, catching him slightly off guard. "I'll miss you daddy..." I heard her say, the voice muffled from her face being tightly pressed against his shoulder. Max came after her and hugged him as well. Patrick hugged them both. "I'll miss you more than you'll miss me, I can promise that." he said softly. I felt tears coming to my eyes but I tried to hide them for Patrick's sake. It would make it even harder for him to leave. Patrick grabbed the both of them tightly into his arms. "I promise I will call every day. Like I said, I'll be back before you know it."
I gently had to pull the twins from him, because they weren't letting go. Patrick then looked up at me. He ran his hands up to my hips and kissed my stomach.
"And I'll miss you too, baby-to-be. Whatever you happen to be." he smiled. He then stood up and looked me in the eyes. "I will miss you with every fiber of my being."
I bit my lip to stop my tears again, but one got loose and ran down my cheek. His hand went instinctively to my face, and wiped the tear away. I laughed and shook my head. "I'm just sorry I can't come with you."
"You can come and watch us play, you know. You've alway been welcome to do that. Heck, bring the twins. Then they'll know what I do for a living."
I giggled again through tears. "Yeah. Their dad, the rockstar."
He smiled and put his hand under my chin, lifting my face up to look at him. "I'm coming back, you know. It's not like I'm leaving forever. It's only going to be a week the most. And after I'm back, we can spend the whole day together in bed..." he whispered, pulling me in for a hug. His hugs were so warm and comforting, it was hard to be upset afterwards. I had just gotten used to the warmth but his arms pulled back to his sides. A voice came from the bus, most likely Pete's, and shouted, "Come on! We're gonna be late!"
He kissed me passionately one more time, and kissed each of the twins on the forehead before he grabbed his bag and hopped onto the bus. I had to pull back Max and Lily because the minute that bus started moving, they wanted to follow it. It took every ounce of my being not to do the same thing they were doing. I knelt down and looked at the twins. "How would you like to go see daddy perform one of his shows?"
Their faces immediately lit up with happiness, and I smiled.
It was only a week.
I could handle just a week.
