Secret's POV
When I woke the next morning all I wanted was to shut my eyes and sink back into sleep. Today was the day Frank was leaving for six weeks. Forty-two long, agonizing days. Don't get me wrong. I am happy for Frank. I am thrilled that his dreams are a reality. It's just hard to watch him go. Every day he is away feels like a week and the twins always miss him so much. Let me just tell you that two four-year-olds screaming and crying for their daddy is no fun. No fun at all. I nuzzled deeper into Frank's chest when I felt him stir. His hand gently stroked my cheek.
"Good morning beautiful." He smiled.
"There is nothing good about this morning." I sniffled. He sighed.
"I know baby. It's going to be okay. I'll be back before you know it."
"It's going to feel like a year." I sniffed.
"Shh baby, don't cry." He kissed my face, his thumb wiping away my tears.
"I love you baby." He murmured, shifting so he hovered above me.
"I love you more than you can ever imagine." He whispered, kissing my lips softly.
"You're the most amazing person to ever walk this earth." He breathed, spreading my legs and entering me slowly.
"I am the luckiest guy alive." He pulled my legs up, wrapping them around his waist. My arms circled his back, scraping across the sensitive skin.
"To have you in my life." He kissed my lips, thrusting slowly. A moan fell from my lips.
"I could never live." He nibbled my neck, another moan escaped my throat. He plunged in and out in a slow, steady rhythm. My hips rose to meet his.
"Without you." His hips rocked gently, his lips melted into mine. Moans erupted from both of us.
"In my life." My legs gripped his waist tighter pushing him deeper. Our lips meshed, tongues collided, moans vibrated through our bodies.
"You are my life." One last thrust and we were both pushed over the edge, shuddering and moaning together as he filled me.
"I love you." He kissed me softly as he pulled himself from me. He pulled me to his chest and kissed my hair.
"I love you too Frankie."
"Come on baby. We need to get dressed and go get the twins. I want to take them to the park and spend a little time with them."
"Okay." I sighed.
We parted from our warm bed and quickly dressed. We each slipped on a pair of jeans, an old band tee, hoodies, and our shoes. I pulled my hair into a ponytail and Frank ran a comb through his.
"Ready?" He questioned.
"Yeah."
We climbed into the car and drove straight to Donna's house. I could not wait to share the good news with her. I knew she would be thrilled. Once we arrived we climbed the steps and knocked on the door. Rayne answered the door.
"Mommy! Daddy!" Rayne squealed as she jumped into Frank's arms.
"Did you have fun with Granna?"
"Yes daddy. We colored you and mommy pictures and we baked cookies."
"That sounds fun. Where is your brother?" I questioned.
"Watchin' cartoons with Granna."
We walked into the living room and saw Donna and Lyric watching Looney Tunes.
"Daddy! Mommy!" Lyric exclaimed once he had spotted us.
"Hey baby, having fun?"
"Yeah mommy. Me and Granna are watchin' the duck."
"Good morning honey. Let me see it." Donna grinned as she grasped my left hand.
"You knew?" I quirked an eyebrow at her.
"Of course dear. It's beautiful. Congrats."
"Thank you." I beamed.
"So, what are your plans today?"
"Frank wants to take the twins to the park so he can spend some time with them before he has to L-E-A-V-E."
"That sounds like fun."
"The park?!" The twins exclaimed.
"Yep, so go get dressed for us." I smiled.
They jumped up and ran upstairs.
"What time are you leaving?"
"Gerard said to be at the airport at four and Mikey is coming to pick me up at three so that only gives us about four hours." He frowned. I mirrored his action.
The twins came bounding down the stairs dressed and ready with bags in hand.
"We're ready!"
"Okay. Give Granna hugs and kisses."
Once we had all exchanged hugs and kisses we left. Frank drove straight to the park. The twins, of course, went directly to the swings.
"Push us! Push us!"
Frank and I pushed them until they decided they wanted to slide. For the next two and half hours we chased the twins around from one structure to the next until all of our stomachs began to beg for food. We decided to have pizza for lunch. As we sat in the restaurant eating my mood began to take a depressing turn. In less than thirty minutes Mikey would be at the house to pick Frank up.
Once we finished eating we left. The drive to the house was silent as if even the twins could sense their daddy's nearing departure. When we pulled into the drive we saw Mikey's car already there. I sighed as I climbed from the car and unbuckled Lyric from his seat.
"Daddy, why is unca Mikey here?" Rayne questioned.
"Uncle Mikey came to take daddy to the airport."
"I don't want you to go daddy." Rayne sniffled.
"I know baby but I'll be back soon."
"But I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too sweetie."
"Daddy, do you have to go?" Lyric asked.
"Yeah buddy, I do but I love you both so much."
"We love you too daddy." They both sniffled.
"Hey guys." Mikey greeted.
"Hey unca Mikey. I don't want you to take my daddy."
"I know Lyr but I have to but he'll be home soon and so will I. I have to get your special presents, remember?"
"Oh yeah. Okay but don't forget."
"I won't buddy." Mikey smiled and ruffled Lyric's hair.
Frank set Rayne down and went inside to retrieve his suitcase. He returned a few minutes later with his suitcase and guitar. After many tears, hugs, and kisses from the twins and myself Frank was climbing into Mikey's car. We stood on the curb and waved them goodbye until we could no longer see them. Then I sighed and took the twins inside. Tears poured from all of our eyes. This was going to be a long six weeks.
