One of my favorite parts of H/Hr stories is the 'Harry explains the facts of House Elves to Hermione' chapter. You have done this particularly well, although it is usually a bit more in-character if Hermione (who is sentimental, really) bursts into tears when she realises that the elves fear "She-Who-Knits-Hats".
That aside... Oh dear - it looks like Ron is going to be stubborn and jealous.

Maybe, but I don't think she cries that easily. Wasn't it odd how her elf-obsession disappeared in book 6?
