BABETTE
Months passed, soon becoming years. Gerard toured and I followed him. The band grew more and more popular, as did my fetish photos. Now we had trucked it out to L.A so the band could record their third studio album, Welcome To The Black Parade.

“I can’t believe we’re going to be staying in the Paramore. Its one of the most haunted places in all the country.” I said happily as we drove along, all of our belongings stowed messily in the back of the car.

“I know. I can’t believe we’ve made it this far. It all seems like some sort of dream.” Gerard said breathlessly. I glanced over at him through my sunglasses as we drove down the sunny streets to the Paramore. It was where the band was band would be staying and recording the album.

“So this album, its all about a cancer patient, right?” I asked. Gerard smiled at my intrigue.

“Yep, a cancer patient that dies and looks back on his life.” He grinned. I had to laugh, the grimness of the statement and the smile on his face were a perfect contrast to one another.

“That sounds depressing.” I added with a slight frown. Gerard grimaced and kept his eyes on the road ahead of him.

“Yeah, but you have to see the beauty in depressing things. I think a lot of the fans will see it.” He assured me. I nodded; he had seen the beauty in me once upon a time…

“Looks like we’re here!” Gerard said, pulling into the long driveway of the opulent mansion. I stared around in wonder as Gerard lugged the suitcases out and greeted the others, who were doing the same as us.

“Hey Babes, you wanna get my duffel bag?” Gerard asked after he had pulled out of a hug from Ray. I snapped back and nodded, going to fetch the bag. We all huffed as we dragged our bags inside and set them down, taking a moment to gaze around at the beautifully decorated insides of the mansion.

“Oh, hey. Glad you guys are here. Gerard, Mikey and Frank, your rooms are down the west corridor. Ray, Bob and my rooms are in the east corridor.” Brian greeted us, pointing in the direction of two large hallways on each side of us. “The recording studio is downstairs, we start in a week, and the kitchen is straight ahead. The place is backed with food so feel free to pig out.” He said before helping Bob carry his drum kit down the hall.

Mikey, Ray, Gerard and I all walked slowly down the dimly lit and extravagant hallway to our rooms. A chill passed over me and I squeezed Gerard’s hand. Maybe this place was haunted.

“Well, this is my room. See you guys at dinner.” Ray said, taking the first door on the right and going inside. Gerard, Mikey and I kept walking through the beautiful and eerie hallway.

“I guess this is my room.” Mikey said in his stuffy tone. He opened the door and turned on the light. A single, blue light was cast over the entire room, making everything seem to glow. I saw Mikey shiver as he set his things down.

“Yikes…” he mumbled thickly. Gerard walked over and patted him warmly on his slender shoulder.

“Don’t worry bro, you can always sleep in my room if you have a bad dream.” Gerard assured him jokingly. Mikey gulped. We left Mikey and headed to our own room across the hall.

It was beautiful, fit for somebody like Marie Antoinette. The bed was huge compared to my old twin sized mattress back at home.

“Wow, that bed is massive.” I said, allowing it to completely captivate all of my attention. I set down my bald cat, Xerxes’ cat carrier and opened it. Everybody had brought their dogs, so I brought him despite how lame everybody thought it was. Whatever, Xerxes was my first friend in New York.

I set the rest of my stuff down and looked for Gerard but he was nowhere in sight.

“Come out Gee, this isn’t funny.” I said in an un-amused tone. “If you jump out at me I swear to god I’m leavin’ you.” I lied, poking around to find him. I wondered how it was possible to loose your boyfriend within a single room.

Just as I was about to turn around and leave, he sprung out of the closet and grabbed me. I screamed and laughed as he picked me up wedding style and threw me onto the very squishy and soft bed. The duvet quilt deflated as he followed suit and jumped on top of me. He ravaged and tickled my ribs as I squealed with laughter and begged him to stop. He tickled me until I thought I would just die if he didn’t.

“God I love you.” He said once our laughter had died down. He stopped attacking me with tickles and allowed me to catch my breath as I cuddled against him.

“A lot has changed, but that must be the one thing that hasn’t.” I grinned, leaning in and stealing a quick peck off his lips.
