My eyes are dried out salty
But too used to it to hurt
And no matter how I look for silver
I only see a clouded earth
My hair could use a shower
Got out an hour ago
I just can't seem to fit here
But I've got nowhere I want to go
Just beat back insomnia
Already I can't stay still
Once again awake all night
Eyes on the icy windowsill
But it's alright
I'll be okay
It's forced but still I've got a smile
And I've got another day
I'll be okay
Every day's halfway worn out
Like my favorite shirts to wear
Without a word or image
Nothing new to say or share
I'm smaller than I wish I was
In height and in reality
Just one more forgotten face
One more nameless cliched Me
Yet another wistful sigh
Thinking of what could have been
Yet another daydream girl
Who only wants imagination
But it's alright
I'll be okay
It's forced but still I've got a smile
And I've got another day
I'll be okay
My nails could do with trimming
My room needs cleaning too
Though still I'm sure I know the place
Of every book and shoe
These puzzle pieces on the floor
Of a life so far unproven
Tokens of the friends I've lost
And love always ungiven
Food that I no longer taste
Roses I no longer see
Butterflies and closing eyes
Too tired to find anything to be
But it's alright
I'll be okay
It's forced but still I've got a smile
And I've got another day
I'll be okay
Maybe all this is pointless
And it doesn't matter what I do
But I can live with pointless
As long as I know it's true
I've found my truth and found my ground
The feet on which I stand
Sunsets and snow look like diamonds and gold,
Seems life is the point in the end
Now somewhere in this solitude
I've found a relative of calm
And no sun in the sky means no burning my eyes
As I look up and plan where to fly
So it's alright
I'll be okay
It's worn but still I've got a smile
And I've got another day
I'll be okay
But too used to it to hurt
And no matter how I look for silver
I only see a clouded earth
My hair could use a shower
