I gave him a warm smile the clearly ment 'yes.' He turned the car out of the alley and on to the freeway.
"First things first. We need to call the school and get our absence cleared before they call home," Stated Mikey. I didn't like lying, but he was right.

After we shopped all day we hopped into Mikey's car. He drove me home about an hour after when school gets out. I walked in and said hi to my mom who didn't suspect a thing. I laid down on my bed and took a nap.
