Sometimes I'm afraid of him but he'll never know. He'd never cause me physical harm - I know that without question - but he wounds me with his sharp tongue and careless nature. I let him know he hurts me, when he breaks my heart, but fear would undo him in some vital way, and I love him too much for that.
I know what he's capable of. I accept it all without doubt - but when I see his eyes, hard and devoid of everything save hatred and anger, I get cold inside. It's such an irony that when he's like this he's showing me his undying love. I've never seen his eyes go cold when he's the one who's threatened; he has almost no sense of self-preservation. When the threat is directed towards me he's ruthless - I shiver at the thought, dread filled with a longing so intense it hurts.
He has so much emotion inside of him, creating a constant state of internal turmoil. He's the pinnacle of self-control, allowing himself no outlet save creativity and sex. He's the most intense lover, passion bordering on violence, tenderness unrivaled. He exists in his twisted world, isolated to the point of near insanity. I'm his outlet.
When he kisses me I forget to breath, even after all this time. Little pieces of his inner self escape through his kisses, his touches and his sex. Deep inside he houses his insecurities and secrets, poisoning his soul. When we're together, naked and writhing, existing only for each other, the poison drains a drop at a time. He's being saved at a torturous pace.
Sometimes I see him smile when he thinks he's unobserved. When a smile reaches his eyes he's the most intoxication creature on the earth. For this I'll put up with his razor tongue and the damage it causes. The smiles are more frequent and I know he's healing. Our love makes us invincible, but we're the only ones that know this secret. I wouldn't have it any other way.
