"Devoid of Love"
0 reviewsIt's been years ago since he had seen his wife but with just one enchanted walk in the dark woods could spark all the memories of his wife. He remembers his wife's death and questions as to why did...

Enchanted by the backwoods
He stands enthralled by its dark beauty
Memories of the past flush through his mind
'Twas years ago, when he lost his beloved mate
Oh, how he adored her
As he stands in the boscage
The images of her become discernible
Algid wisps of lilacs and sweet spices
Open his memory of her sweet existence
As if a magical twist, it flutters away
"I beg unto thee, don't escape!"
Heartache weighs heavily
Upon his wretched soul
Forever a mourning widow
Displayed on a pitiful show case
Torture him however you like
What is there to fear?
When she is not here
Why should he exist?
When she is not present
Casting his fists at the Angry Heavens
His sad tears turn into tears of anguish
A gaze upon Heaven
Shouting,
"Lord! Everything happens for a reason but why my wife?
"Why did she have to depart? My one and only love!"
The one who made life worth living for!
What is the reason for her departure?
WHY DID YOU TAKE HER FROM ME?
TELL ME, SHOW ME, GIVE ME A SIGN!
Why my wife?
Golden flashes run through his memory
Remembering her death
Like the onset of Heaven
Like the fiery smoke of Her burning
She was set to burn at the stake
Her saintly eyes filled with tears
The fire concealed her screams
She was no longer there
"Fear not for we will meet in Heaven,"
Her comforting voice echoed in his mind
"I shall not fear for we will meet in Heaven,"
He repeated to himself as if she could hear him
Like a coward, he collapsed
Upon the burial site of where her remnants where laid
"I promise we will meet in Heaven," he whispered.
Dreams of him and her entered his thoughts
Together forever in peace and harmony
He stands enthralled by its dark beauty
Memories of the past flush through his mind
'Twas years ago, when he lost his beloved mate
Oh, how he adored her
