I walked alone every single day. Everyday I wore the same hodie with my earphone popped in. I may look like an outcast but It's not like that. I have these "friends" and I see them regularely. I crouched down and tied my boot. I sighed. I hate rainy days. There's less people out. Less people who I can pick out from. Stoping at the Starbucks I asked for my usual drink. The guy behind the counter looked at me, "So Lindsey, do you want to go out some time?" I stared him down. " Alex. I don't have time for this." And with that I left. The only reason I knew Alex was because of Starbucks. We weren't friends or anything but he was always there when I ordered my drink. Then there's his name. His name tag said it all but he has no reason to know my name. I stopped by at the old abandoned house before dumping the drink into the garbage can outside. I opened the door and stepped insde. It was quiet, as it always was, but this time you could hear drops of water hitting the wooden floor. The wooden floor creaked as I made my way to a door to the far right. I opened it and stepped in. This door led to a closet. What do you espect from a closet? Well here's the trick. If I open up one of the floor boards and click the botton located there, the "magic" door would suddenly appear.
"Lyn-z, you're a bit late but we've already chosen one of your picks. His name Is Gerard Way. He lives in this town, Belleville, he has a brother named Mikey, who also live with him, and he's all yours." I smirked. "A job already! Thanks Dr. D! I'll make sure to have fun with this one!" I walked back into the closet and out I went. I walked back to Starbucks with a picture of my new job. Once there I asked Alex if he knew who he was. He smiled and chuckled, "Gerard? Yeah! He comes here at least two times a day!" I nodded and thanked him. Now to wait for my prey. Fourty minutes into my waiting I saw him. I grabbed my red lipstick and applied it to my lips. I checked to see if my hair, in pigtails, were still okay and I checked to see if my eyeliner hadn't smudged. Rule number one in getting to talk to jobs was if I looked good or even attractible. Well it mostly worked with boys. Girl jobs were hard to pick up. I'd had to make friends with them and then gain their trust. With boys, it was all different. They would give in easily once they saw my plaid skirt and boots.
I stood up and walked up to his table, "Don't mind if I sit here, right?" I didn't wait for him to say anything and just plotted myself in the seat in front. "Umm...sure." He was silent for some time. "I'm guessing you're not much of a talker, huh?" He nodded. I stretched out my arm "I'm Lyn-Z. Spelled L-Y-N-Z. A lot of people spell it differently but I prefer it this way." He looked at me with his hazel eyes. "I'm Gerard Way." He took ahold of my hand and shook it. He took a sip of his drink, not taking his view away from me. I just smiled.
