This messed up world
So dark and filthy
Street lamps lit
With little secrets
Night time pleasures
Where sins are unmeasured
Take a walk
Take a risk
Little alley ways
Where devils gather
Plunging pointed needles
Filled with hate
Little clubs
Filled with lust
Where just one night
Will never be enough
To fill the hunger
That those souls feel.
They risk it all
Try to feel good
In this dirty neighborhood
Violence reigns
This hierarchy
Everything leads
To this key
Shot guns sound
Like rain tonight,
Everlasting chance
For a fight.
Jealousy, greed
They’re all this town needs.
But then light comes
And this world dissolves
Retreat to your quarters
Go off to your jobs
Sleep off the substance
And tonight
We’ll do it all again
