The piercing sound of Kiba’s alarm clock felt like a gunshot to his head.
For Kiba it was just another morning; another day he had to struggle through with a hangover, another day at school which he thought was pointless, another day he had to fight through knowing he had nothing.
His head was heavy and his vision was blurry, something that he was used to by now. Every night he would be out on the town, drinking until he found himself vomiting or passed out in the nearest gutter. On lucky nights he would stagger home and end up in his bed. Last night was a lucky night.
Pushing away the empty bottles and alcohol cans on his bedroom floor, Kiba stumbled to his closet door. Although Kiba’s mum was rich and he had a closet full of clothes, almost all of his shirts and jeans were dirty and half hanging out of their drawers. His mother was never home to do the washing or anything at all for that matter, and there was no reason for him to do anything. “Why have nice, clean stuff when there’s no one to impress?” he always used to say.
He’s room looked like a bomb had hit it, but he didn’t care in the slightest.
He chucked on the clothes he had found and walked to the bathroom. He didn’t have to do much to his hair, for it always just fell into place. Actually, Kiba didn’t really have to do anything at all; he was naturally good looking, and he knew it. He never had trouble getting girls because they all came to him. He didn’t even have to try. Sometimes, just to make things interesting, Kiba and Saskue would have competitions like ‘who could get the most girls in a night’ or ‘who could get the most girls in a week.’ The competition would be serious to start off with but there was never really a winner because both boys either lost track of how many girls they had slept with, or gave up for the one thing that was better than women- drugs.
But what made today a bit different than any other day was the arrival of Ino’s cousin. Kiba new she was just going to be another girl but having new challenges was something he enjoyed, even though he doubted it was going to be a ‘challenge.’

Across the room, Kiba’s mobile sat vibrating on his bed side table. He walked over to it and glanced at the text message from Saskue.

New girl today. Better have your game on Inuzuka. ;)

Kiba smirked and hit the reply button.
Don’t you worry Uchiha, my game is always on. I’ll have this girl wrapped around my finger in the first five minutes, believe me.

Send.

I like your Confidence Inuzuka. Don’t let it be your downfall.

Kiba laughed quietly to himself before grabbing his school gear and leaving his house. He puffed on a cigarette as he walked down the old neglected back alley, the shortcut to the school which he took every morning. Sometimes he thought to himself why on earth he took a short cut to school when it was the last place he wished he would ever get to. All the students loved him but he’s sleazy and no-good reputation left him as the least favourite amongst the teachers. He made their job at school a living hell, with his smart arse attitude and horrible behaviour pushing the teachers to their braking point almost every morning and afternoon. He hated being told what do and how he should live his life, their constant talking of “You should be doing this Kiba,” or “It’s for your own good Kiba” pushed him to the point where every time he heard those words he felt like punching them straight in the head. The only thing stopping him from doing it was the fact he was either to stoned to know what he was doing, or he couldn’t be bothered.
It wasn’t long before he arrived at the school gates where Saskue, Naruto, and Kankurou were waiting for him.
“Hey losers, has the new girl arrived yet?” said Kiba as he threw his finished cigarette on the ground and stepped on it. Saskue folded his arms and leant back against the gate.

“Not yet. None of the girls have arrived, probably because they all wanted to meet this new girl before she came to the school.”

“Hinata told me on the phone last night that they were all meeting at Ino’s,” said Naruto as he scanned the school entrance looking for his girlfriend. “She did say something about the girls wanting to meet her before she comes to school.”

Before Kiba could answer he saw the group of girls all walking up the path in a line. From left to right it went Tenten then Hinata, followed by Temari, Sakura, Ino and then Ino’s cousin, Sae-Lee. Kiba tried looking at the girl on the end, but his head was still throbbing and his vision still blurry from the night before. She was still too far away for her to have Kiba’s tick of approval just yet.
As the girls neared closer, A pleased smirk spread across Kiba’s face as he eyed Sae-Lee up and down. “Guys,” started Ino, trying to grab their attention. “This is my cousin Sae-Lee. Sae-Lee, this is Saskue, Naruto, Kankurou and Kiba.”
Kiba had to keep his jaw from dropping as he eyed the gorgeous dark haired girl before him. She was almost the same height as Ino, and had the exact same figure as her too. But despite their similar height and body shape, they couldn’t look more different. Sae-Lee had straight, black mid length hair that hung slightly past her shoulders with a side fringe. She had smooth tanned skin, and a subtle silver nose piercing. On her lower back was a tattoo which said No Regrets in fancy writing, and she wore black skinny leg jeans with a white boob tube which ended just above her belly button. But the feature that stood out most was her eyes. She had bright green eyes, so green that they were beyond the point of hazel. Unlike Sakura’s whose were more a greeny blue, Sae-Lee’s were an intense green.
“Hey guys,” said Sae-lee casually as she gave them a wave. Saskue snuck Kiba a cheeky look as if to say she’s a keeper, but Kiba didn’t notice. His eyes were not leaving the amazing looking girl standing before him.
“Hey Kankuro, you might want to pick up Kiba’s jaw for him before it hits the ground,” smirked Saskue. Kiba shot Saskue a look as if to say Saskue, shut the fuck up. But instead he placed his hands in the pockets of his jeans and leant casually back against the school gate. “So this is the new girl, huh?” he said. “Nice work Ino, looks must run in the family.”

Ino rolled her eyes and linked arms with her cousin. “Eh whatever Kiba. Come on Sae-lee, let’s show you around. We’ll see you guys at lunch.” And with a flick of her blonde hair, she walked her cousin into the school ground.

“So I’m guessing you approved?” grinned Kankuro as he nudged Kiba with his elbow. The trio followed behind the large group of girls but kept their distance so they couldn’t be heard.
“Are you kidding?” said Kiba as a smile spread across his face. “She’s fucking HOT. You’re damn right I approve.”

There was only one thing that set Sae-Lee apart from the others. Ino, Sakura, Temari, Tenten and Hinata’s style was a bit different from hers. They were all into wearing feminine dresses, short skirts, high heels and all the latest fashion; if it was the newest thing out in stores, they were there. Sae-Lee’s style was more individual; instead of having all the latest stuff she wore what defined her. Her subtle punk look of Skinny jeans and tight boob tubes gave her an edgy look, one that she hoped made her stand out and look different from the other girls. Usually she would also wear a hoodie and converse shoes, whatever she felt comfortable in she would wear. Her looked described her; not perfect, full of mistakes and just out to have fun. She wasn’t out to impress anyone.

“So, this is Konoha High?” said Sae-Lee as Ino and Sakura walked her down the unfilled hallway. Lockers lined the outside of the corridor, and every few metres there would be a door leading into a different class room. Sunlight poured through the windows, lighting up the hallway.

“Yep, this is Konoha alright. And you should have no trouble fitting in,” Ino smiled.

“And just to let you know, we all think you’re really nice so you’re welcome to hang around us” Added Sakura warmly. Both girls walked on either side of Sae-Lee with smiles spread across their faces.

“Thanks guys, I really appreciate it” smiled Sae-Lee.

“So,” started Ino with a smile. “Have any boys caught your eye?”

“Well to be honest I thought that Kiba guy is the best looking so far,” laughed Sae-Lee. She frowned when she noticed the slight look of disgust which had grown upon Ino and Sakura’s faces. “Uh, did I say something wrong?” she added with a grin.

“I told you at my house this morning, that I’m not letting you go anywhere near Kiba.” Ino’s voice was stern, but it wasn’t a voice out of jealousy or anger. “He’s not good news Sae, he’s always drinking and can become violent... he’s pretty heavy on the drugs and I can assure you he only wants one thing from you.”

“Ino’s right Sae-lee,” Sakura said sympathetically. “He’s been our friend for years, but he’s not really the kind of friend you want to get involved with, if you know what I mean.”

Sae-Lee smirked and brushed her dark hair off of her face. “I know exactly what them type of boys are like,” she smirked. “But I’ll take your word for it.”
The three girls made a turn to their left and into their physics class. As they entered the room, their teacher Kakashi stopped writing on board and turned to look at them with a careless, lazy stare. “Late again Ino?” he said casually as he looked at the blonde before him. One hand rested comfortably in his pocket while the other held a piece of chalk. On the board was information on the human body and labels pointing to certain parts.
“It wasn’t just me this time,” Ino argued. “And anyway, I have perfectly good reason.”

“And what would that be?” he asked, ignoring the fact that there was a new student standing right before his eyes.

“We have a new student, this is Sae-Lee. She’s my cousin and she’s now attending Konoha High. I had to show her around before she came to her first class because otherwise she wouldn’t have known where to go. Fair reason?”

Kakashi just closed his eyes and shook his head. “Just take a seat,” he said lazily before continuing to write down notes on the board. Sae-Lee followed as the two girls walked to their regular seat at the back of the classroom. The students watched as Sae-lee made her way through the isle of chairs, their judging eyes watching her every move. “You can all take a photo if you want?” she asked sarcastically before taking a seat next to Sakura. They all re-focussed their eyes onto the chalk board immediately, obviously a tad intimidated by her confidence.
“Ah, I hate physics,” Sae-Lee mumbled as she got out her books.
“Don’t worry cuz,” started Ino, who was busy looking at herself through a portable mirror and makeup device. “This lesson will be over before you know it, Don’t forget that we were about half an hour late to class. And when it’s finished, we’ll introduce you to our hang out spot” she said with a wink.
