I was just going on a walk, really. Nothing remotely dangerous. Nothing to warrant what happened that night. Nothing to warrant the horrible things I saw. Nothing to warrant my untimely death.
“Inamorta!” called a group of guys. “Get the fuck over here!”
I rolled my eyes and started towards my friends. “Dumbasses.”All my friends were guys. And that was fine by me. It was great—rare drama, no backstabbing, and complete transparency. No secrets and no fuckups.
“Fucking bitch,” Danny snickered.
“Useless whore,” Ben grinned.
“Dumb bitch,” Cameron laughed.
“Dirty skank,” Sam smiled.
“Filthy ho,” James joked.
I snorted. “You done?”
Then the bell rang, cutting off what would have been a great argument, beginning the school day.
