  Okay, this Adam guy is getting more and more annoying. He reminds me more than a little of Q in ST-TNG. Boy, I hope that he doesn't turn into a male Mary Sue, although his personality suggests against it.
  
  Overall, this chapter strikes me as a bridge, maybe even an unnecessary one. Time will tell.
  
  You managed to get the various Scoobies just right, I think, especially Xander and Anya.
  
  I wonder: Will the cats turn out to be animagi?

  Same as last chapter's review. There are many possible ways of avoiding this much explanatory text in one lump - including skipping forwards past it then referring to 'facts' learnt later when needed.
