My Child
By Maleficus-lupus
I stood and watched as my child marched to war,
In the crowd who stood and cheered
And with whom I cheered.
Underneath my mask I cried
as my child marched to war.
In his new grey uniform and bright red badge
my child shouted with the rest,
"Heil Hitler!"
I watched my child march to war
and within me something died.
As my child marched to war.
By Maleficus-lupus
I stood and watched as my child marched to war,
In the crowd who stood and cheered
And with whom I cheered.
Underneath my mask I cried
as my child marched to war.
In his new grey uniform and bright red badge
my child shouted with the rest,
"Heil Hitler!"
I watched my child march to war
and within me something died.
As my child marched to war.
