Melody's POV
Yesterday had been everything I had imagined and more. Last night, staring out over the twinkling lights of the city, being held in Frank's protective arms was perfect. I honestly don't know how but Frank managed to make yesterday one of the best and most perfect days of my life.
The fact that Frank managed to be goofy, silly, romantic, and all around amazing in less than twenty-four hours fascinates me. I love the fact he took me to places we could have fun and be childish yet still ended the night with a romantic dinner and view of the city.
Never has anyone else done so much for me in such a short amount of time as Frank. Even though it took a long, twisted road to get there and it hasn't been long at all since I realized my true feelings for Frank, I know, without a cloud of doubt in my mind, that I love him. I know every time I utter those words I mean them. I know that I will always mean those words no matter what happens between the two of us.
A smile spread across my face as I watched Frank's sleeping form lying next to me. His messy, dark locks splayed haphazardly across his face. His small lips were parted slightly, allowing warm puffs of breath to tease at my flesh. Soft rays of sunshine shined through the curtains, illuminating his heavily tattooed skin.
I grazed my fingers along the swallows and the word 'And' covering his lower abdomen, tracing my way along his left hip to the inked 'Destroy' there. His breathing hitched and his hand grasped mine, startling me.
"Mmm...tickles." He murmured sleepily. I giggled as he brought my hand to his lips and kissed the tips of my fingers.
"Morning, Frankie."
He hummed as he pulled me closer and buried his face into the crook of my neck, inhaling deeply and placing a gentle kiss to my sensitive flesh.
"Mmm...kiwi. You smell.." He nuzzled against my neck, tickling the skin and making me giggle. "...fucking edible."
I scratched my nails through this hair, grinning as he sighed and leaned into the gesture.
"You smell like kiwis, too, dork."
"Yeah but it smells better on you."
I buried my face in his hair and inhaled the scent.
"Nah-uh. It smells fucking delicious on you."
"Mmm...you hungry?" I shrugged.
"Kind of but I don't want to move yet." He chuckled.
"We don't have to meet Pete until ten-thirty-ish and it's only..." He paused, glancing over my shoulder to peek at the clock. "...nine now."
"Mmm...'kay. I'm not moving for at least another hour." He twirled his fingers through my sleep-tangled hair and smiled.
"Good. I don't want you to go anywhere."
I scooted closer to him, tangling our legs together, and planted a kiss to his lips. We lay like that for awhile, holding one another, raking fingers through one another's hair, speaking only with heavy lidded eyes and occasional stolen kisses.
"Stay here, babe. I'll be right back." Frank murmured then kissed my forehead and slid out of bed.
I watched as he disappeared into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. Faintly, I heard the sound of running water and Frank humming. I threw my legs over the side of the bed and stood, making my way across the room toward the bathroom. Just as I reached for the knob Frank opened the door and grinned, quirking an eyebrow at me.
"Curiosity killed the cat, ya know?" I laughed, shaking my head at him.
"You are such a dork, Frankie."
He wrapped his arms around me, hugging me close to his chest and rubbing his hands along my back.
"Maybe but you totally love me anyway."
"I guess I can't argue with you there." He chuckled.
"Come on."
He lead me into the bathroom where the large, marble tub was filling with water and nearly overflowing with bubbles. Vanilla scented tea light candles circled the outer rim of the tub. I smiled up at Frank as he wrapped his arms around me from behind, laying his head on my shoulder.
"Frankie, you are such a dork. An incredibly adorable, sweet, perfect dork."
He pouted, making his most adorable puppy dog eyes at me.
"Only adorable?" I laughed.
"Adorable, hot, and sexy all rolled into one." He smirked.
"That's more like it." He winked playfully. I snorted.
Frank unwrapped his arms from me and knelt beside the tub, turning the water off and dipping his hand inside the tub.
"It's perfect, not too hot but hot enough."
He stripped himself of his boxers and step over the ledge, sinking down in the tub, letting the bubbles envelope his body. He quickly dipped his head beneath the bubbles, wetting his hair before re-emerging. I smiled as he waggled his eyebrows at me and beckoned me to join him. I still didn't like being naked in front of him so I turned my back to him as I stripped myself of my pajamas. He sighed heavily as I covered myself from his view and stepped into the tub, seating myself between his open legs and relaxing my body back against his chest.
"Mel..." He groaned. "I thought we had this talk already. Your body is beautiful to me. Please stop trying to hide it." I frowned, gnawing at my bottom lip.
"I know but I..." I trailed off, shrugging. I really didn't have any excuse to offer him other than the fact I wasn't exactly pleased with my body at the moment.
"Baby, you are beautiful and so is your body. I know it's different and I know it takes time to get used to these changes but I wish you wouldn't hide from me. I love the way your belly swells to make room for our baby girl." He sighed again as he wrapped his arms around my body, resting his hands on the swell of my abdomen. "I wish you could see yourself through my eyes. Then you would see how beautiful you are right now. How beautiful you always look to me." I sniffled in response.
"I'm sorry, Frankie. I just...it's hard. The only thing that keeps me from hating my body is knowing there is a baby growing inside me. Our baby. I know she needs room to grow but what if..." I paused, sniffling quietly to myself. "What if my body never looks the same again? Frankie, what if I get stretch marks? Will you still love me then?"
He cupped my face in his hands and turned my head so our eyes met. His lips lingered close to my own, brushing mine as he spoke.
"You will always be beautiful, Melody. So what if you have stretch marks? I don't care. They will just be another reminder of the precious gift you are giving me. Every time I see them I will think of our daughter and what you had to go through to bring her into existence."
I felt a tear slip from eye and trail down my cheek. Frank sighed as he used the pad of his thumb to brush away the stray, salty liquid. His lips met mine in a slow, gentle mesh of skin on skin only lasting a few seconds before he pulled back and traced his thumb along my bottom lip.
"Fr-Frankie, I-I..." He pressed his lips to mine once again, effectively silencing the words threatening to spill out of me.
"Shh...it's okay. I'm here, it's just you and me. I love you, Melody, I do. I know this is all happening so fast, maybe too fast but it feels so right. Melody, I have so much love to give you if only you will let me."
My heart squeezed at his words. I can feel deep down in my heart what he said is true and I want, more than anything, to prove how much I love him, too. If it means opening myself up to him, letting him see my insecurities then that is what I will do.
"Frankie, I love you, too. I want...I want.."
"What, baby? Anything. Whatever you want, it's yours."
"You, Frankie. I want you. I want us."
He smiled as he tangled a hand through my hair and pressed his forehead against mine.
"I'm yours, Mel. I'll always be yours."
Our lips met in a soft, slow kiss. I shifted between his legs, straddling his lap and pressing my body close to his; wanting, needing to feel his body against mine. Frank wrapped his arms around me, resting his hands on my hips as I deepened our kiss, running my tongue along his bottom lip, pleading for entrance. His lips parted and his tongue slipped out, tangling with my own as he pulled me closer. My fingers entwined in his dark locks, our tongues probed and prodded at one another's mouths until my lungs burned with the need for oxygen and I pulled away, panting for air. Frank leaned forward, pressing our foreheads close together.
"Oh god, Mel. You have no idea what you do to me."
"I think I have a pretty good idea." I smirked, snaking my hand between us to grip his semi-hard erection in my hand. He groaned, biting his lip and squeezing his eyes shut. "Frankie, I want you. Now."
"God yes, baby, I'm yours. Always." He groaned, running his fingers along my shoulders and down my back, coming to a rest on my bottom.
I tightened my grip around his erection and pumped slowly, teasingly, pulling him to his full hardness. He gasped, a moan tumbling from his throat as his hands squeezed the flesh of my buttocks.
"Mel, babe, I think..." He trailed off as my strokes began to increase in speed, his hips bucking into my hand. "Shit. I think we should...bedroom, baby."
"Mmm...yeah. I think so, too." I smirked, biting my lip, loving the effect I had on him.
He groaned as I removed myself from his lap and stepped over the edge of the tub, wrapping myself in a towel and smirking over my shoulder at Frank who was still sat in the tub, eyes wide and mouth hanging agape. I quirked an eyebrow at him.
"Well, are you coming?"
I bit back a laugh as he scrambled from the tub, nearly slipping and falling on the wet tiles and wrapped his own body in a plush, white towel. He groaned, gripping my face in his hands and planting his lips firmly on mine. My body melted against his, feeling almost boneless as he began to lead me backwards toward the bedroom.
The back of my legs connected softly with the bed and Frank gently pushed me back onto the feathery soft mattress, crawling on top of me so our lips never parted. Beads of moisture dripped down my cheeks as his shaggy hair brushed over my face. His hands trailed down my neck, stroking lightly before coming to a rest at my chest.
Cool air kissed my skin, causing ripples of goosebumps to erupt along my flesh as he pushed my towel open, exposing my body. Heat enveloped my body, tinting my skin pink and I had to fight down the urge to cover myself from his view. He smiled, stroking his fingers down my sternum to my swollen abdomen.
"Thank you." He murmured as his lips brushed my chest, causing my heart to stutter in my chest before beating wildly against my ribcage.
He didn't need to explain himself to me. I knew why he was thanking me. He knew this was my way of opening up to him, letting him into my heart and soul completely.
I was positive he could feel the wild beating of my heart as he planted butterfly kisses down my chest, across my breasts, trailing over my ribs and the swell of my stomach. I absently traced my fingers along the jack-o-lantern tattoo that decorated his upper back then up to the scorpion imprinted into his flesh.
"So beautiful, Mel. So perfect."
Though his words were muffled against the side of my neck I heard each and every one of them. My heart only thumped harder in response. My body tingled and burned, begging him to touch me. He nipped gently at the sensitive flesh of my neck and a moan tumbled out of me in appreciation.
"Frankie, please."
His lips grazed along my neck, up my jaw, hovering just over my mouth. Our pants of breath mingled momentarily before he covered my mouth with his, kissing me firmly as if he wanted me to know how much he loved me, how much he wanted this.
My hands slid down to his waist, unlatching the towel and letting it fall to the floor beside the bed so we were both left completely exposed. Frank shivered as cool air enveloped him. Our lips continued to mesh, working together in a slow rhythm, making me crave his touch, making me want to feel him and only him.
I wrapped my legs around his hips, pulling him to me, conveying my desire to him without words. I felt him smile against my shoulder as he teasingly kissed his way down my chest, stopping to take one of my breasts into his mouth, swirling his tongue around my erect nipple as his other hand massaged my other breast gently.
A moan tumbled from me as my back arched and my nails scrapped along his shoulder blades. He switched breasts, repeating the gesture with the other before trailing his lips down my torso to my abdomen, going lower and lower, teasing me.
"Frankie, please. I can't take it anymore."
He laughed, nipping at my the tender flesh of my inner thighs before crawling back up my body, planting his lips over mine. All too soon, he pulled back, smirking down at me. A mixture of love and lust swam beneath his hazel orbs.
"You want me bad, huh?" I pouted, rolling my eyes at him.
"Obviously. Now stop teasing me."
His smirk never faltered as he positioned himself at my entrance and pushed in slowly, earning a moan of appreciation from me. In retaliation, I squeezed my thighs on either side of his hips and bucked up as I scrapped my nails roughly down his back, effectively wiping the smirk from his face.
"F-Fuck, Mel." I smirked up at him and he growled playfully, attacking my neck with his teeth, pulling a gasp from my lips.
His movements stayed slow, a gentle rocking of hips as we fell into a slow, steady rhythm. My hips rose and fell matching his thrusts. I wanted more, I wanted him to move faster, put a little more force behind his movements but I knew he wouldn't. I knew he was too afraid of hurting our daughter. Upon my insistence he pushed deeper, rocked the slightest bit faster.
His lips covered my own, our tongues dancing and tangling, exploring and probing. My nails dug into his hips, his tangled through my hair, tugging gently. The familiar tingling began to bubble in my stomach, alerting me of the oncoming pleasure. A mixture of a gasp and a moan tumbled from my lips as my orgasm ripped through me, shaking my body with its force.
Frank thrust deeper, pushing me through my aftershocks. Moments later I felt his body tense above me, a groan of pleasure vibrating through him as his own orgasm erupted from him and into me. He shuddered and groaned, filling me until his own blissful aftershocks washed over him.
He stayed buried within me as he kissed me long and hard, stroking his fingers along my cheek. He pulled back, smiling down at me as I grinned back up at him.
"You are so beautiful. I love you."
"I love you, too."
He pecked my lips one last time before removing himself from me and standing. He helped me to my feet and we both dressed hurriedly, knowing we only had mere minutes until we needed to meet Pete for brunch. As quickly as I could, I fixed my hair and applied a bit of makeup. Frank busied himself with his own hair before blowing out the circle of candles around the tub.
Fifteen minutes later we were exiting the elevator to find Pete, Patrick, Andy, and Joe waiting for us. They each smiled, greeting us with a hug before we made our way outside to our respective vehicles.
Frank followed Pete to a small diner that served breakfast twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. It wasn't fancy nor impressive but I could tell the food would be great as the smell drifted from the diner, filling my nostrils. My mouth watered at just the thought of food and I knew Frank could tell when he chuckled and wrapped an arm around my waist, leading me toward the entrance.
As soon as we entered I spotted two familiar faces and could not contain my smile. Cassie and Leanna were sat at a booth in back. They waved us over with a smile as soon as they laid eyes on us.
I grinned as I slid in across from them. Frank sat next to me with Patrick on the outside while Pete took the seat beside Cassie. Andy and Joe grabbed a couple of chairs and sat at the edges of the small table.
"I'm glad you two decided to join us. I was really hoping I would get to see you before we had to leave." I grinned. They both smiled back.
"Us too. It's kind of sad you have to go back." Leanna frowned. I felt my face mirror her's.
"We don't live that far away." Frank smiled. "It's only a thirty minute drive from here to there. Besides, we're not leaving until tomorrow."
"You guys really wouldn't mind if we came for a visit?" Leanna questioned, a look of shock clouding her face. I grinned.
"Of course not, silly. I would be devastated if you didn't." Cassie laughed.
"No worries. We will definitely come for a visit. Maybe soon. When are you having your baby shower?"
"Oh. Um...I don't know. I haven't even thought about having a baby shower." I shrugged, answering truthfully. Cassie gasped.
"Of course you have to have a baby shower. It's a must." I laughed.
"I suppose but when exactly do you have a baby shower?"
"Most women do their shower around their eighth month. It won't be long until you reach that point, will it?"
"Nope. Only four more weeks until then." Frank grinned.
At that moment a frazzled, young waitress appeared at our table to take our order. I smiled warmly at her. I could tell she was either new or was having an extremely rough day.
"I am so sorry to keep you waiting. My name is Katie and I will be your waitress today. What can I get for you today?"
We each took turns rattling off our orders as she scrawled them into her small notepad. With a tired smile and another apology she rushed off to put our order in with the cook and fill our drink orders. Just minutes later she returned with our drinks and assured us our food would be out soon.
We made small talk, reminiscing about last night's show and planning my future baby shower, as we awaited our meals. Several minutes later Katie, our waitress, returned balancing a tray of food-filled plates. The poor girl once again overflowed with apologies as she passed out our orders. We tried our best to assure her it was no problem but I think she was too frazzled to know the difference.
We ate our meals as we continued our small talk, pausing only to satisfy our hunger. Once we had finished we sat around enjoying one another's company as we let our food settle. I couldn't help but watch Katie dash from table to table. It seemed as if she were the only waitress actually working as two more stood behind the counter snickering at her and occasionally ordering her around. I scowled at their cruelty.
"Frankie, do you see those lazy bitches just standing there and making that poor girl do all the work?" He frowned.
"Yeah. I feel bad for that poor girl."
"Me too. I think we should leave her a big tip. She really deserves it. I bet half of these assholes in here won't even tip her." Frank nodded.
"I agree. That poor girl has been running herself ragged while those two stand there doing absolutely nothing." Patrick chimed in, a look of disgust twisting his face. Everyone else nodded their agreement.
Katie appeared once again at our table to give us our check. Pete took the check from her and slipped out of the booth where he wandered to the register to pay for our meal. Frank stopped Katie mid apology and slipped a fifty dollar bill in her hand. I smiled, knowing she more than deserved it. Patrick, Joe, Andy, and Cassie repeated this gesture as did Pete upon his return. I was sure she had at least two hundred dollars in her hand.
We didn't wait to be thanked as we slipped outside with smiles on our faces. We each hoped we could at least bring some joy to her hectic day. Just as we gathered around our vehicles, hugged one another goodbye, and began to get inside our cars the young girl ran out toward us.
"I..excuse me but I think you made a mistake." She frowned, holding the money out in front of her. "This...this is entirely too much." Frank smiled and closed her hand around the money.
"No, sweetie, this is yours. You deserve it. Whatever you do, do not share it with those two lazy bitches in there." The girl's mouth opened and closed as if she were lost for words.
"I-I...are you s-sure." I nodded, enveloping her in a small hug. I pulled back and smiled. She smiled back at me. "I-I.. th-thank you."
"It's no problem. Good people deserve nice things." Pete winked as we turned and got into our vehicles.
It felt good knowing we had helped someone, even if it was just something as minor as money. As we drove away I saw her pocket the money with a smile that seemed to brighten her whole being. I mirrored her smile as I turned to Frank and gripped his hand in mine, brushing his knuckles against my lips.
"You are such a good person, Frank." He shrugged.
"If everybody just did one good thing for another person like a selfless good deed just think about how much better a place this would be." I smiled.
"Yeah. That would be incredible."
Frank smiled as he leaned over and planted a kiss to the corner of my mouth. My heart swelled at the gesture. Even though Frank has done some shady things in his past there is no denying he has a good heart. We all make mistakes, as I know all too well, but that doesn't necessarily make us bad people. Frank is one of those people and I know I am more than lucky to have found him.
This is complete shit and I am sorry. I know I have been saying that a lot but let's just say things are going shitty right now and it's reflecting in my writing. I am so sorry if this story is disappointing anyone and I swear I will try to do better. Just know I am trying but I have a lot on my plate right now. :(
Major kudos to anyone that spots the Frank quote. ;)
Regardless, you are all amazing. Every single one of you, whether you comment or not. I love you all.
