~This Is Right~ Koga and Kagome
Chapter 4- There’s This Thing Called Love
Once the sun started to rise, the wolf prince stretched out and realized where he had slept. Rolling over to face the beautiful young woman resting, he couldn’t help but give a small smirk to himself, seeing her peaceful face. Not thinking that it may not be a good idea to be so close to the young woman first thing in the morning, he continued to lay there and enjoy her sleeping face. As Kagome slowly opened her eyes, she saw a black and blue blur before her, not really seeing what it was that was in front of her. She was still under the covers from last night.
‘Last night… Wasn’t Koga with me?’ she asked herself, opening her eyes even more.
“AHHHHHH!”
“Wah!”
~Koga’s P.O.V. ~
I watched Kagome slowly wake up from her slumber, smiling at how adorable she was when she woke up. Once her eyes were open all the way, she stared at me blankly for a couple of seconds. A blush appeared on her cheeks and then, out of nowhere, she screamed.
“AHHHHHH”
“Wah!”
Her shrill scream sent shivers down my back and pierced my sensitive ears, making me shoot out of the spot I laid just seconds ago. She was obviously surprised to see me being so close to her first thing in the morning. Or maybe, she just isn’t used to it.
‘I wonder if she remembers what happened last night. I can only hope…’ I thought.
~Kagome’s P.O.V. ~
Once I sat up and realized what all just happened, I attempted to slow my racing heart. Koga was now standing beside me with a look of horror on his face.
“K-Koga,” I stuttered.
He instantly looked down at me, with hesitation written all over that face of his, “Y-Yeah, Kagome?”
Before I could say anything, I looked up into those blue eyes of his and gasped at the events from last night that suddenly flooded my memory. Remembering the kiss I shared with him, a blush crept across my cheeks quickly and I smiled to myself. Then I remembered he had lain down with me before we both went to sleep and I had been fine with it. Looking up at the stunned wolf, I smiled at him, reassuring him that things were okay now.
“I’m sorry, Koga. I wasn’t expecting to wake up to you being so close to me.”
Seeming to relax a bit, Koga nodded his head, “Its fine, I shouldn’t have been so close. I’m sorry Kagome.”
Before anything more could be said, Sango rushed in with her weapon drawn and ready to attack.
“Kagome! Are you okay?!” she yelled, seeing Koga in a corner looking a bit scared and me
sitting under the covers, using them as protection.
“Err- you guys aren’t in danger… Uh…” she stated, with a blush on her cheeks.
“It’s okay Sango. Koga just frightened me, but everything’s alright. Thanks for checking up on us though, ahehe…” I laughed nervously, feeling a bit embarrassed as well.
~Third Person P.O.V. ~
“What do you mean, ‘you’re going home’?” Koga asked Kagome.
“Err, uhm well, in case you couldn’t tell, I’m not from here. I live in a different era and the bone eaters well is what connects me to the other side.” Kagome did her best to explain things to him.
“Yeah,” Shippo said, “That’s where she goes to get all her ninja food!”
“That’s right, Shippo.” Kagome agreed.
Before saying anything, Koga took a moment to look between the well and Kagome, thinking of a few questions to ask her. Walking over to the well, he peered inside of it, seeing nothing but a normal well.
“And you’re sure that this well takes to your time?”
Kagome nodded.
“Hmmm,” Koga thought, staring deep down into the well, “And only you have the ability to pass through this well back in to your own time?”
“Well, not necessarily.” Miroku drifted off.
“Kagome and Inuyasha were the only ones who seemed to be able to go through the well and back.” Sango finished.
“So, no one else has tried to go through and see if they can get through?” Koga asked, walking over to Kagome.
“Well… no. I had never thought of anyone else being able to go through the well except for Inuyasha and I before…” Kagome stated.
Koga’s face lit up, “Then how do you know that I can’t go through it as well?”
Sango and Miroku smiled at Koga’s eagerness and Kagome simply took his hand and walked over to the well with him, “Only one way to find out, right?”
Taking one last look at Miroku and the others, Kagome smiled, “I’ll be back in a couple of days you guys- try not to get in to any trouble.”
They smiled and waved her off, watching her jump into the well with Koga by her side.
“There she goes.” Miroku stated as Shippo ran over to jump on the side of the well.
A bright pink light glowed at the bottom of the well as Shippo watched his mother figure and their wolf friend disappear, along with the light.
“Awe man, Kagome won’t be back for a while. It’s gonna be so boring!” Shippo complained as Sango and Miroku laughed at the young kit.
~Kagome’s P.O.V. ~
Once I reached the other side, I looked to my right to see that Koga had actually made it through with me. The jewel shards in his legs were glowing very brightly and a faded pink color glowed around his body. After a couple of seconds, the colors faded from him, leaving the normal Koga behind. Feeling my hand in his, I couldn’t help but feel a small blush come across my face as I welcomed Koga to my home.
“Seems you’ve made it through. Welcome to my time, Koga.” I said with a smile, “Shall we go, so that you can meet my family?”
Koga nodded and I began to climb up the well, knowing that’d he’d follow. Before I could get a couple steps up, I felt myself being pulled from the ladder grandpa had built in and accelerating upwards at a fast pace. Not worrying about it, I smiled as I let Koga take me up through the well in a quicker way- known as Koga’s way. Once he set me down, he reached for the doors in front of him, but I stopped him by setting my hands on top of his. He broke his gaze away from the door and looked into my eyes, confusion evident in those blue orbs.
“I want to warn you before we go out there.”
Koga snorted, “What do you need to warn me about? There’s nothing I can’t handle.”
“Well, I know that much. I’m just letting you know that my family… well… they’re a bit different from what you would expect. And this is far ahead in the future, so things are much different than they were before, so it’s alright to feel a little overwhelmed, okay?” I explained to him, smiling at his attitude.
“I can handle this, Kagome.” He said, opening the door.
From his reaction, it seems that he really was surprised at what he saw. He stood there, mouth gaped open at the scenery. Without me knowing it, he ran out and started looking at everything around him.
“Wow, Kagome!” He said, looking in the direction of my house, “This is where you live?”
I nodded my head and walked over to him, grabbing the fur on his arm and dragged him into my house.
“Mom! I’m home!” I shouted, setting my empty yellow bag down and taking off my shoes.
“Welcome home dear!” she shouted from the kitchen.
I tugged at Koga’s furs, letting him know to follow me, which he did without hesitation. Once we got in to the kitchen, my mom shrieked at the sight of Koga, not expecting to see him.
“Mom, it’s okay. This is Koga- the one I’ve been telling you about.” I explained before she could say anything.
“Hello, Kagome’s mother, I’m Koga.” He introduced himself, walking over to her and taking her hand in his. Before saying anything else, he bowed before her, raising her hand up like she was some kind of goddess.
“Uh, Koga- “
“My, my, Kagome, you have such good taste. He is indeed not only a handsome one but a polite young man as well.”
Instantly, I flared up, hearing her repeat my words back to me. “M-Mom!”
Koga pulled away from her and looked around the kitchen, while my mom laughed at my embarrassment. Koga looked back at me, smirking, which only deepened the blush on my face.
“So this is where you go when you leave the area…” Koga said, looking around at every single thing in the kitchen.
Without waiting for him to snap out of his little trance that he was in, I turned around and started to walk away. My destination was to go upstairs and in to my room to get ready for a nice hot bath.
“Where’s she going?” I heard him ask while he followed me.
Before I could take two steps upstairs, I heard Koga yelling out in shock and I turned around and high tailed it into the living room. He must’ve made a wrong turn in to the living room where grandpa usually was and knowing that old man…
“Kagome! Help!” Koga shouted as I stumbled upon Koga being attacked by grandpa.
I quickly rushed to Koga’s side and swatted away grandpa, trying to quickly explain everything to him.
“Gramps, it’s okay! Koga is a friend of mine! He won’t hurt you, its fine.” I said, letting Koga cower behind me. ‘So much for ‘I can handle anything,’.’ I thought to myself.
“Ay- bringing these demons into my home without my knowing about them is a dangerous thing to do, Kagome. I could’ve killed him with one single spell!”
Koga gulped and I just shrugged it off, “You couldn’t really do anything- those tricks of yours don’t even work anyway, gramps.”
Pushing past him, I dragged Koga along with me upstairs into my room before Sota could interrupt even further. Noticing that Sota was nowhere around, I didn’t bother to ask because the house was quiet for once and it was kind of nice. I walked up the steps, still holding on to Koga’s wrist as I walked all the way back to my room. I opened the door and let him step inside, closing it behind us for a bit of privacy. Not like we were going to do anything anyway, but I didn’t want him wandering around the house and getting himself into more trouble.
“This is my room and where I’ll be staying when I go to sleep. I’ll set up something for you once I’m done with my bath.” I told him, grabbing out some comfortable clothes.
He just sat there and looked around my room, staying surprisingly quiet. I was kind of worried about him for a few moments- I don’t think I ever saw him this confused and quiet before. It was a different side of him that I didn’t like so much, considering he was always talking about something.
“Err, Koga?”
“Yeah?” he asked, watching my every move.
“Maybe you should get a bath too. You kind of smell a little weird.” I told him, blushing.
Without letting him say anything more, I walked out and closed the door behind me, walking towards the bathroom. I felt kind of bad that I said that but he needed to know. Besides, he was going to get a bath after me and smell as good as I will.
~Koga’s P.O.V. ~
I sat down in her room, leaning my back against her bed as I continued to think about all the strange things I’ve seen so far since I’ve been here.
‘Kagome sure does live in a weird place, but I could get used to it. What did she mean when she said that I smell a little weird? Surely I can’t smell that bad…’ I said to myself, taking in a whiff of my own scent.
Repelled by my scent, I could see why Kagome said something. But where did she go to take her bath? I didn’t see any hot spring around here or anything so I wonder… Maybe there’s something else that she uses to bathe in…’ I thought, walking out of her room and sniffing
the air for her.
Instead of finding Kagome’s scent, Sakura blossoms consumed them and they smelled so good that I simply couldn’t resist following where the scent was coming from. I came to another closed door where my nose had lead me and was about to enter but what stopped me was Kagome’s voice on the other side.
“I wonder what mom and gramps think about Koga… I can’t believe mom said that out loud, and right in front of Koga! Why didn’t she just come right out tell him that I have feelings for him while she was at it? I mean, what an uncool moment…”
I froze in my place to hear those words leave her mouth as the water splashed around on the other side. Instead of going in, I decided to sit beside the door and wait for her to come out, to see what else it was I could hear. From what she had just said, I couldn’t help but have a slight blush on my cheek as I thought deeper on the subject.
“Ahhhh, baths are so heavenly… I’ve missed this…”
After that was said, nothing more was spoken from her as she bathed herself. Smelling other scents mixed with hers seemed to be a bit of an arousal for myself as I leaned my head back against the wall, biting my lip. I couldn’t help but to think of her in all the wrong ways, even though I knew I shouldn’t of have been. Trying to snap out of my aroused stage- I shook my head and focused on the shards in my legs instead, wondering what would happen to them and their powers in her era.
‘Oh, the things you do to me, Kagome…’ I thought, imagining what she looked like without those weird looking clothes she had on.
Without realizing it, time flew by quicker then I’d imagine and I heard her begin to dry herself off and get ready to come out. Quickly, I ran back to her room and shut the door, sitting down in the same spot on the floor that I was when she left me there. I listened to every sound that was made on her way back to her room; the sound of the other door opening, her quiet foot steps leading into the room and the sound of her door opening. When she was finally back in her room, I took a long stare at her in her weird clothing that she called her pajamas. They weren’t as revealing as her normal outfit, but somehow, she looked even cuter in the baggy clothes.
“Okay Koga, now it’s your turn. C’mon, follow me.” She quickly said, pulling on my wrist and leading me in to another room that she called the ‘bathroom’.
“Okay so here is your towel and once you take all of your clothes off, I’ll have them washed by my mom and let you wear some of gramps’s clothing.” She quickly said, grabbing out a towel and another piece of cloth that she told me was to wash my body with.
“What’s the matter?” she asked me as I sat there looking at her, dumbfounded.
“Uhm… Just what exactly am I supposed to do?” I asked her, not quite sure.
“Don’t tell me that you’ve- never mind. Uhm…” she quickly stopped mid-sentence and a blush grew on her cheeks real quickly.
“Kagome? What’s wrong?” I asked her, getting closer to her face.
“N-Nothing! Uhm, I’ll start the bath for you.” She said, pushing past me and turning some knobs on a weird looking contraption.
“Okay Koga- take all your clothes off.”
“W-W-What?!” I shrieked, embarrassed she was telling me such things all of a sudden.
“It’s not what you think hentai! I’m going to help you get a bath.”
~Kagome’s P.O.V. ~
I was blushing madly as he seemed to understand that I just wanted to help. I turned around and closed my eyes while he undressed and didn’t open them until I heard him tell me it was okay. Once he sat down in the running warm water, I heard him let out a relaxed sigh, telling me that it was okay to look now. Once I turned around to face him, I nearly fell over at the sight. He was ripped! Muscles were bulging and I could see from the middle of his torso and up.
“W-Wow, K-Koga.” I said, a ferocious red blush on my cheeks, not being able to peal my eyes away from him.
“Hm?” He said, with a small blush on his face as well.
“N-Never mind. H-Here, let me t-take your hair out.” I stuttered, walking over to him and sitting on knees in front of the tub.
I pulled his ponytail out with one quick movement and his black locks fell all around him. Thinking of all the things that could happen right now, I started to become a little aroused as I dumped a cup of water on his head and turned the water off. Once his hair was completely soaked, I reached for my shampoo, but it fell in to the water, right beside Koga’s naked leg.
“Uh,” I hesitated, thinking if I should reach down and grab it or ask him to.
Without having to say anything, Koga reached down and pulled it up, handing it to me without say a single word. I couldn’t form a thank you so I took it from him and poured a handful in my hand and started to wash his hair.
After Koga was done bathing, I took his furs and his armor down stairs and asked my mom to wash the furs while I would clean the armor. She set dinner out on the table and went to another room, beginning to wash the funky smelling furs. I quickly ran back upstairs and knocked on my door, waiting for a response from Koga.
“I’m dressed… kind of.” He replied.
I took that as my answer to enter and I did, but I wish I hadn’t because the sight made my heart speed up and blush like mad. I stood there, frozen, as I stared at him holding up the oversized sweatpants, which happened to be the only thing covering him.
“K-KOGA!” I screamed, slamming the door shut, keeping my back to it.
That blush seemed to stain my face as I waited for him to finally put on the sweatpants. I waited outside with my back to the door, not noticing when Koga opened it. Leaning on the door, it kept me upright, but when Koga opened it, I fell back in to his arms. Noticing his grip on me, I looked up to see his soaking wet hair fall over his shoulders, covering his face that was painted with that irresistible smirk of his. The only thing he had on was sweatpants meaning his cheat was bare and my body was against it. The water from his hair trickled down his torso and back, making him look even more irresistible. Before things could progress, I quickly stood back up and led him back in to the bathroom, trying to keep myself from staring at him. He didn’t put the shirt on and all he was in was a dark green pair of long and baggy sweatpants. He didn’t even have any underwear on… Once we got to the bathroom, I sat him down on the seat of the toilet and grabbed my brush from the sink and started to brush his hair. Since I used that conditioner in his hair, it felt so silky smooth, even if it did have tons of knots in it. Once I blow dried it, I started to pull it back up in to a pony tail but he grabbed my wrist and shook his head. Confused, he grabbed the hair tie from my wrist and put his hair in a low ponytail that laid against his back. After we were both done in the bathroom, we headed downstairs where dinner with the family awaited us…

~Third Person P.O.V. ~
Koga and the young woman went up in to her room and the now clean wolf sat on her bed as she began to study. It’s surprising how she made it to her senior year as a B+ student, and she wasn’t going to fail out now. A bunch of finals were coming up and she needed to get serious. After hours of studying, she finally realized it was a Saturday night and decided to just go to bed. She turned around to see Koga comfortably lying under her blankets, fast asleep. Blushing, the woman simply turned off the light and slid underneath the blanket with the wolf, facing his peaceful sleeping face. Closing her eyes, she decided it was best if she tried to get some sleep. Little did she know that he was a very light sleeper and that climbing into bed with the wolf had awoken him. Without either of them knowing it, they were both awake and couldn’t get to sleep, even though they were both faking it.

After we were both done in the bathroom, we headed downstairs where dinner with the family awaited us…
/After Dinner\
