Act 2 Scene 1
[As the lights go down an orchestra version of I’m Not Okay begins to play. The curtains begin to open during the guitar solo being played by the first violin. The lights go up as the orchestra version of I’m Not Okay fads into the instrumental version of Mama begins to play. The lights go up to Mother War’s lair. Mother War is sitting at the beat up in agony while Fear and Regret skip around her desk to the beat of the music.]
Mother War
What! What do I have to do to get them to listen. I get that Skank’s head blown up and I bring her here and he is still distracted.
Fear
Mother she is just a girl it is not the end of the world.
Mother War
I need one more soul to finish the deal and I can’t count her in the count...can I count her in the count?
Regret
Are you sure, I mean once you present the souls to Satan...her soul will be destroyed forever. What if you, taking her away causes him to fight back. He loves her and he just might destroy you to save her. Mother you will regret it horribly if you take a risk like that.
Mother War
I have at least half my powers left which makes them powerless against me. I will destroy their souls if I have to. They are no threat to me. Now prepare me for the ritual tonight! That is an order my darlings!
[Fear and regret nod as the lights go down for a set change. The set changes to The Black Parade float scene. Ray, Bob, Mikey, and Frank are sitting on the float talking as the souls are conversing with each other like normal.The lights go up..]
Ray
What a dreadfully dead morning...ahhhh man I am still tired but I can not sleep in.
Frank
I here ya dude...Were did Gerard and Gean go?
Mikey
He said he was going to take Gean on a romantic walk through the wastelands.
Ray
Of course he would...it is like they just got married a week ago. Ever since Gerard told her the truth last week all he has done was be all lovey dovey with her.
Frank
I know right but I do not get the fact that they haven’t kissed yet.
Mikey
Who wants to kiss a dead person.
Ray
I’m just a little concerned because “Mamma Machine Gun” is probably pissed that he hasn’t collected any souls in the past week
Frank
Has she said anything..no..so we have nothing to worry about.
Mikey
I hope, you know that the woman can scare the shit out of all of us.
Gerard and Gean
[Gerard and Gean are heard singing I’m Not Okay a cappella off stage then enter in swaying on each others shoulders still sing. Gean has a female Black Parade marching uniform on (the type Fear and Regret wear)and Gerard’s Revenge Era makeup.]
I’m not okay, I’m not okay, well I’m not okay, I’m not o-fuckin-kay.
Frank
The lover birds have arrived from hell!
Gerard
Were back from are romantic get away with Satan! Everyone rejoice for the threesomes are back on!
Frank
HELL YA ME FIRST!!!
[The all break down laughing]
Ray
Anyways...So umm Gerard we gonna go soul collecting today like the good old days.
Gerard
Ya I guess we could since that is usually what we do everyday.
Ray
I know but like we haven’t really collected any lately.
Frank
Yea I kinda miss scaring the shit out of the souls when we come to them on the float.
Gerard
I don’t think anyone has really died that is fucked up in some way....
Frank
But still Mother War hasn’t spoken to anyone lately, don’t you think she is kinda pissed off that we have been slacking off?
Gerard
Frank we have collected 999 souls we are one soul away from being free, like her I am not complaining.
Ray
We should at least talk to her
Gean
You guys go ahead I will stay here cause Mother War scares me
Mikey
I will stay here to
[Gerard, Ray, Frank, and Bob exit stage right]
Gean
Mikey....
Mikey
Yes....
Gean
Can you tell me how you and Gerard died?
Mikey
Well...I don’t know you might regret hearing if I tell you.
Gean
I need a better understanding of the reasons for the Parade. Tell me please..
Mikey
Fine.....
[Mikey goes up to the front of the stage and starts to strip off his clothes and under his uniform is his Revenge Era outfit. He reaches in the pocket of his jeans and pulls out his glasses and puts them on. The the lights go down and their is a spotlight on Mikey. The song You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison starts]
In the middle of a gun fight in the center of a restaurant. They say,
[Mikey walks back the lights go up to a shoot out in a restaurant. He keels down behind a table next to Gerard who is in his Revenge Era suit. The both pull out guns and start shooting at guys in over the top punk outfits and guns at the other side of the restaurant. Gean is sitting off to the side of the stage as if she is watching Mikey’s story like a flashback seen in the movie.]
Come with your arms raised high!
[Gerard and Mikey start running around the restaurant shooting at the punkers]
Well they’re never gonna get me, like a bullet through a flock of doves...to wage this war against your faith in me. Your life...will never be the same. On your mother’s eyes say a prayer....say a prayer!
[The music quits down to the piano intro of the song as it keeps repeating when Mikey begins to talk as he is and Gerard are still in the gun fight.]
So there we were, Gerard and I in the middle of a gun fight with these punkers who ran like mafia at this club we got jobs at. You see we learned that these guys were wanted criminals. We thought we could turn them in for a quick buck. We put together a plan. We stole something of theirs to use as blackmail and we tried to lure them in to cops with it but long story short..we ended up here.
[The music gets louder]
Now but I can’t, and I don’t know. How we’re just two men as God had made us, Well, I can’t....well, I can! Too much, too late, or just not enough of this. Pain in my heart for your dying wish. I’ll kiss your lips again!
[Gerard and Mikey get shot and fall to the ground. The music quiets down and then the sound of an ambulance is heard. Then the people at the restaurant begin to dance around the stage. Then girls dressed in short tight dresses the look like ambulance outfits in dress form come running in behind another as the one in front is holding a steering wheel. The girls gasp and begin to get Mikey and Gerard onto gurneys. Then the dancers begin to move off stage pushing the tables and restaurant scene props off the stage into the curtains. Then the back curtains open up to ballerina nurses pushing hospital equipment into the stage creating a hospital scene as they do it in a ballerina type way. The ambulance girls place the gurneys next to the hospital equipment and act like they are hooking them up to the machines and place blankets over them as two female ballerina doctors come and try to patch up Gerard and Mikey’s wounds with the ballerina nurses. The doctors put patches with kiss marks on them on Gerard and Mikey’s wounds then dance of the stage. The music fades into a soft slow piano/violin version of Heaven Help Us as the nurses ballet dance around their beds. The lights turn into blue neon lights that are the only lights lighting up the stage.]
I was put on life support and well Gerard got heart complications from the bullets lodged in him which gave him about only two weeks to live. I asked to be taken off life support when he dies. Then we were taken to a world that is for people that were to bad for heaven and not bad enough for hell. There we met Mother War, we made a deal with her. If we could collect 1,000 bad,broken,or fucked up souls to her, we would be brought back to life. Thus the Black Parade was born.......
[The music gets louder and Mikey begins to sing]
Heaven help us now. Come crashing down, we’ll hear the sound as you fall.
[Some of the nurse dancing around their beds are raised up into the air and preform an aerial ballet routine.]
And would pray for me?
The Nurses
You don’t know a thing about my sins. How the misery begins.
Mikey
And make a saint of me?
The Nurses
You don’t know, ‘cause I’m burning, I’m burning
Mikey and The Nurses
‘Cause I’ll give you all the nails you. I’m burning! Cover me in gasoline again. Im Burning again........
[Mikey’s voice fades away with the music as Gerard and Mikey slowly close their eyes. Then the machines beep loud like him and Gerard have died. Then the lights go down and the beeps fade away marking the end of Scene 1 of Act 2...]
A/N- Yes I am back and I had to put some kind of reference or sound of I'm not Okay because I love that song but I didn't really fit with the play so I tried lol. R&R and I love you my fan girls.
