Senna, Her name was Senna

That night Ichigo sat at his desk doing his homework. Her memory wasn't gone yet, Senna was still barely there. He could still feel her light weight on his shoulders. Quickly he jotted something on the bottom of his homework.

“Senna, her name was Senna”

Several days later Ichigo again sat at his desk staring at his homework. He had almost completely forgotten the past few events revolving around a strange girl who he couldn't quite put a name to. Reaching into his backpack he pulled out last week’s homework he still hadn't turned in. At the bottom was a note and Ichigo whispered to himself

“Senna, her name was Senna”

A week later Ichigo turned in all his missing assignments; now having no memory of what happened nearly two weeks prior to today. But as he handed in a two week old paper he read a small note in his handwriting at the bottom. Whispering to himself he faintly remembered a young girl

“Senna, Her name was Senna”

Ichigo was walking home from school and crossing the bridge when a young girl ran past him. Her face and height seemed familiar but he couldn't quite name the empty feeling he was getting in his stomach when he saw her. As he turned to leave a strong wind blew from the west, blowing a red ribbon into his eyes. He pulled it into his hands and stared at it. Knowing that for some reason or another it was important, he shoved it into his book bag and headed for home.

A month after the Dark Ones came Ichigo again sat at his desk staring at homework. Rukia had long since gone to sleep and Kon had followed suit not soon after. Staring at the paper he got a strange sense of emptiness. He looked out his open window and sighed. Something was missing in him and he couldn't quite put a finger on it. Just then the wind howled and a few autumn leaves blew into his room. As he went about picking them up he couldn't help but keep one. Shoving it into his drawer he turned out the light, wondering to himself why exactly he wanted to keep a leaf.

It was now time to hand back graded papers. When Ichigo got a boat load of homework back he sighed. Sorting threw it he came to a paper that had been counted off for being a week or so late. On the bottom of the page was a note. In confusion he read

“Senna, Her name was Senna? What does that mean?”

With a shrug he shoved it into his bag.

When Ichigo got home from school several days later he reached into his bag, knowing he had to clean it out if he wanted to fit anymore junk into it. As he dumped the contents on the rug he saw the red ribbon resting on the homework with the note.

“Senna, Her name IS Senna…”

Ichigo grabbed the red cloth and gripped it between his hands. With feverish movements he crawled to the desk and grabbed a note book. He sat there and repeated the same line over and over on the paper until there was no more room

“Senna, Her name was… is Senna”

He shoved the note book with the ribbon into the drawer with the leaf and heaved a sigh.
“Why is she gone? Why did she disappear? I remember… Senna… I remember you now”
Ichigo stared at his floor and was startled by a light tap on his window sill. When he turned he saw amber eyes smiling at him. with a grin he went to open the window.
