I waited for you to tell me,
As we lay by the stream,
The words you didn't know the meaning of,
Yet the ones I always screamed.
I waited for you to say them,
As we sat on our knees,
I know you never say those words,
Because you think it makes you 'free'.
So I'll lay under the water,
And I'll stop this frozen heart,
Because those words you never spoke,
Were tearing me apart.
As we lay by the stream,
The words you didn't know the meaning of,
Yet the ones I always screamed.
I waited for you to say them,
As we sat on our knees,
I know you never say those words,
Because you think it makes you 'free'.
So I'll lay under the water,
And I'll stop this frozen heart,
Because those words you never spoke,
Were tearing me apart.
