Escape and Return!

Well, that's quite the chapter as they clean out much of wizarding Britain to remove the taint of evil that's festerred there for too long. 'Twill be fascinating to see what uses are made of Snape's files and to see where that takes matters (methinks ALbus' portrait is not going to be a 'happy camper'). It was quite a well-prepared battle plan and it seems to have worked.
Now for the track-down and elimination of Tom Riddle.Author's response
No, Albus' portrait will NOT be happy!Escape and Return!

Very nice, high price paid but victory won. And at least Bellatrix and the Toad are dead.

Snape was killed rightly though I'd like to have seen a description of him finally seeing his plans went down the slicing hex!

Hehehehehe....i love it when a plan comes together....for Harry that is...I just wish that Draco was allowed to see his aunt meet Justice before his final processing (gawd, doesn't that sound like something out of Soylent Green?)Author's response
Considering how many wizards dress, it would have to be soylent violet and chartreuse -- magically delcious!Escape and Return!

As I said last time I'm not that engrossed with this 'wicker man' thing. I appreciate your reply to my last; I guess I'm just disappointed that an advanced magical culture ... isn't that advanced. We were all that 'barbaric' a few thousand years ago ... it's rather sad that the druids have stayed stuck in the middle ages.
Kill the bad guys - the really bad guys - sure. But take pleasure in their pain, torture them? Ugh. No. Just do a Snape, off with their heads! :-)
Still, I understand your keeping your magical world historically accurate. I'm not criticising you, I'm criticising the druids. :-)
Voldemort's forces are clearly outmatched, even if he himself is powerful enough to knock over his individual opponents like ninepins. And even he was defeated by the numbers, I see. That's realistic; if he can't take them out within seconds they'd start queuing up on him.
No romance in this chapter, I'm just sayin'. :-)Escape and Return!

The gods demand sacrifice. Of course, in the other stories that used the Wicker Man, the criminals were under heavy stuns. The Druids in this story were more cruel in the hope that would serve as a greater deterent (I doubt that myself, but there are plenty of people around the world even today who would agree with that point of view -- characters in my stories don't always agree with my views!)Escape and Return!

Always glad to see you leave Snape unredeemed. For those who think the sun shines out of his behind, visit sites like Deathtocapslock, Snapedom, terri_testing and rattlenake root's live journals and you'll glimpse a fascinating alternate universe where Harry and other members of the light side are actually portrayed as grey or worse for not giving Snape the By-Gawd respect he deserves. Your fics are always a tonic to that. Wish you had time to keep producing these marvelous fics at your old rate!Author's response
Snape may sometimes EARN redemption in my fics, but he will always be a self-serving bastard in the beginning who has to earn it.
