Oh my! Writing of this quality is rare, especially in fanfic.
A comment on all the Narnia fic I've seen so far: For some reason, the people writing Narnia fic are more literate, write more complete characters, than almost all of the Potterfic on this site.
This story is perhaps the finest of a fine genre.
