  What can I say? I truly love the diversion with Rita and I'm certain she had quite the "learning experience" with it (wonder if she'll ever figure out who/what started all that?). The lead-up to the Ball was nicely done and 'twill be interesting to see what eventuates there.

  I can honestly say that I almost feel sorry for the Mermen in Black Lake for what is about to happen. I just know that it is going to be spectacular.

  There are myriad ways to indicate a flashback, but none of them so ham-handed, awkward, and downright bad as just pushing the word "FLASHBACK" into your text.
  
  Perhaps you should read more, to learn how real writers do it.

  Thanks, I really really needed a smile after the last few days. I love this snarky, violent Harry - he's fun! I'm a Harry/Hermione 'shipper from way back, and it's nice to have someone give some depth to her character without making her overly adult.

  Regarding the title, I 'm reminded of the line Robert Heinlein attributed to Lazarus Long, "Strong drink can make you shoot at tax collectors - and miss."

  As far as Cateagle's review, I had forgotten that line.
  
  I like this Harry. He's frankly acting more along my preferences. "If they try to kill you, you try to kill them right back." One of the few things I liked about Firefly.
  
  You might say its a bit much for a kid, but I owned weapons by his age. I knew the sounds bullets make going overhead, as well. Make you sit up and pay attention...or not sit up, actually.
  
  Enjoyed it.

  I am enjoying the tale but i'm just a bit put off by the extent of the violence. I like a brawl or a good clean out of a bully but gratuitous, hard-core hexing seems a tad over the top.
  
  Keep up the tale and write it your way; I'll read it however it comes.

  I just noticed that there is an egregious error in the title of this latest chapter. In Scotland they have reserved for themselves the spelling "whisky" for their contribution to the pleasures of a wee drop. Others, especially here in the colonies, are forced to spell it "whiskey," as you did. This is a forgivable error, I think, since even great writers (with editors of modest qualities) have done the same in large scale print.
