Chapter 1 - Sarahs POV
“Sarah! Get up, it’s almost time to go!” Kirrah yelled right in my ear. We were going to meet up with some friends that we hadn’t seen for a while.
“Uhg, why do you have to be so loud? what’s the time?” I asked though I was still half asleep.
“It’s 9:30! so hurry up and get moving!” Kirrah said in her general overly excited tone. I closed my eyes and savored the feeling of the golden sunlight streaming across my face one last time before getting up and getting ready to go out.
. . . . .
“Sarah! Kirrah! Over here!” I heard a familiar voice call out to us from across the park. A small smile played across my lips as I turned around to see Shaun Diviney, Andy Clemmensen and Bradie Webb walking over to us.
“Hey guys! it’s so good to see you!” Kirrah and I said in almost perfect sync.
“Yeah, its been heaps to long,” Bradie said as he hugged me. I thought of the countless girls who would die to be in my place right now.
“Its only been a week Bradie,” I laughed. He was so adorable.
“Well it seemed like longer,” he said, then, while staring deep into my eyes, he said, “I really like spending time with you.” Not breaking eye contact he stepped closer to me. I felt my heart pounding in my chest and a shy smile creeping across my face.
“Break it up love birds!” laughed Andy while Shaun wolf whistled. Kirrah just laughed and smiled at me, she was going to ask me so many questions later.
“Shut it guys!” I said. My cheeks turned light pink and my smile widened.
“Come on I’m starving! lets go eat!” yelled Andy, he smiled, even the thought of food made him happy, typical.
“Are you ever not hungry Andy?” Kirrah laughed, although we all knew the answer: of course not!
“There’s a fast food restaurant across the road, do we want to go there?” asked Shaun.
“Uhg, fast food? You guys go there, I’ll get something healthy from somewhere else and meet you guys there,” I said.
“I’ll go with you Sarah,” said Bradie, as he smiled adorably at me.
“No surprise there,” I heard Shaun whisper to Kirrah. she started laughing softly.
. . . . .
As we walked through the park to find something more healthy that greasy fish and chips, I took in the beauty of the park, and more importantly, the guy beside me! A single green leaf fell from one of the tall oak trees surrounding us, and landed in my long brown hair. “Sarah,” he whispered softly as he brushed the leaf away, his hand lingered on my cheek. Slowly, he stepped closer to me and all of a sudden I was in the circle of his arms, and he was kissing me!
