Chapter 2 - Kirrahs POV

“You guys go find us a table, I’ll order the food,” Andy offered.

Shaun and I walked outside to the wooden benches that overlooked the sparkling blue ocean. I sat down near the edge and Shaun slid in beside me, sitting so close that I could feel the warmth radiating off him. My heart started to beat faster and faster.

“The water’s so beautiful today,” I said nervously.

He leaned in closer to me as he stared deep into my eyes. “Not nearly as beautiful a-” but he didn’t get to finish what he was saying, because just then, Andy walked over with his arms full of food and drinks. Shaun and I sprang away from each other nervously.

“Hey guys! oh, I’m not interrupting anything am I?” He laughed, looking from me to Shaun and back to me again.

“No,” we both lied a little to fast. Oh god, I thought, it’s so obvious.

“Where’s Bradie and Sarah?” I asked when we had finished the food. It shouldn’t have taken them this long to find something to eat. Moments later they walked out from the park, hand in hand.

“No surprise there,” Shaun whispered in my ear. I just smiled at Sarah, she was going to have a whole lot of questions when we left.

“So, what did you guys get?” Andy asked Bradie and Sarah.

“Huh?” they both said, looking confused.

“As in food. What did you guys get to eat? You took long enough,” Andy explained, although from the look on his face, he was starting to get it.

“Oh yeah, food, well um… we kinda didn’t, we, um, forgot,” Sarah said nervously.

“Hahaha, well then, would you tell us what you were really doing?” Andy joked, but of course we all knew the answer!

Sarah’s face turned bright pink as she looked down nervously. “Don’t listen to them,” Bradie said to her and kissed her on the cheek.

Shaun laughed at that, as he slid his hand into mine under the table. I turned to look at his smiling face. “Hey Shaun, look here for a moment,” I whispered, and when he did, I lent in and kissed him full on the lips.
