"this morning we got a call saying that your mother has thrown herself from a balcony"
"WHAT?!?!?!"
"ma'am, your mother is dead"
"no, you've got to be kidding, no this can't be..."

you hang up the phone, a lump in your throat, what have you done? how could this happen? sure she's always seemed crazy, but you had no idea that could turn into this. your yelling has woken gerard from yet another blissful sleep

"last night, when i was on the phone, i had i fight with my mom, and this morning, the police called and said that she killed herself. it's all my fault if i didn't fight with her she would have lived!" gerard just holds you close, and keeps you rocking and starts singing
