One dark evening
Whilst I was alone
I heard a tree branch
Quietly groan
I looked around, nothing there
So I carried on walking
Through the chilly, midnight air
I then heard footsteps
Quick and clear
Coming up behind me
I was struck with fear
I broke into a run
But I wasn’t fast enough
For the next thing I heard, was the sound of a gun
Whilst I was alone
I heard a tree branch
Quietly groan
I looked around, nothing there
So I carried on walking
Through the chilly, midnight air
I then heard footsteps
Quick and clear
Coming up behind me
I was struck with fear
I broke into a run
But I wasn’t fast enough
For the next thing I heard, was the sound of a gun
