I brought over a fresh homade pumkin pie (yes I bake... sometimes...) When I handed Eric the pie he touched my hands... It wasn't an accident. He wouldn't let my hands go. What made it so bad was that Charlotte wasn't home. She went out to get cider before I came - trusting her husband to do the right thing. I gave Jimmy some love and chatted with Eric for a minute. I pretended it didn't happen and Charlotte came back and I chatted with her for a minute and left. I told them my mom needed help with a turkey and I coudn't stay. I could've stayed but I couldn't bare sitting at the table eating and pretending to be merry while looking Eric in his face. It would've been too much. I feel sick...
