A/N: heyy!! I was bored… and I felt like writing… so this is what you get.. enjoy… btw, all of the lyrics are in Italics
Frank was just getting home from work, early; he had his keys in one hand and some groceries in the other. He opened up the door and walked in, humming softly as he put away food. It was unusually quiet, and he noticed that quickly. Normally, his roommate, Gerard was getting ready for work when he got home. He thought nothing of it and finished, going into the living room and picking up the remote. He was about to push the power button when he heard muffled crying. Frank listened a moment longer and went back to comfort his best friend. Gerard was sitting on his bed, crying, he didn’t even notice when Frank sat next to him. Frank slid his arm around Gerard’s shoulder’s, Gee jumped and looked up, almost guiltily. Gee went to wipe away the tears, but Frank caught his hand and held on tight, “let it out man, let it out”
Gerard stopped crying quickly, not wanting to cry in front of the man he loved, and pulled away.
“What’s wrong?” Frank asked, concerned.
“Nothing for you to be concerned with”
You come to me with scars on your wrist
you tell me this will be the last night feeling like this
“No, what is it?”
Gerard debated whether or not he could tell Frank, then if he should, for a few minutes and made his decision.
“Can I show you something?”
“Yeah man, of course”
Gerard held out his sleeved arm and began to pull it back to his forearm, revealing 16 long cuts on the top of his arm, going side to side. There was also one on the inside of his arm going from wrist to elbow that was bleeding badly. Frank gasped, not sure how to handle the news thrust in his face. Gerard was trying to kill himself.
Frank’s eyes went between Gee’s face and the cut for a minute, hurt and worried, Frank grabbed the arm and pulled off his shirt, starting to try to bandage it as best he could with what he had handy.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“I just came to say goodbye, didn’t want you to see me cry, I'm fine” but I [Gerard] know it’s a lie
“why would you do this!” Frank asked, as Gee started to get dizzy from blood loss. Gee didn’t say anything, except for one little word, “lonely”
“then goddamnit!

Gerard went limp in his arms and he started to cry hysterically into his phone as he dialed 911. He then tried to call Gee’s parents, his dad answered.
“yello?”
“Its Gerard, he just- he just tried to- he’s killing himself!”
“uh-huh, that’s great Frank” the man wasn’t paying attention. “I’m sure he did it for some stupid reason” Frank hung up, pissed and hysterical. He started talking to Gerard’s body.
“Your parents say everything is your fault
But they don't know you like I know you
They don't know you at all
I'm so sick of when they say
It's just a phase, you'll be okay, you're fine
But I know it's a lie

Frank waited in that hospital room all night, hoping Gerard would wake up and rejoin him. He just wanted to say one thing to him before he died. Frank took Gee’s hand and fell asleep.
”The night is so long when everything's wrong
If you give me your hand, I will help you hold on
Tonight, tonight” Gerard whispered when he woke up, stroking Frank's hand with his thumb.
”This is the last night you'll spend alone

Frank woke up and heard that whole thing, “you’re alive!!” He climbed into the bed, right next to Gee and pulled him close.
