I woke up in the hospital the next day with a sprained shoulder, and Bandit next to me with a broken arm.
Gerard and LynZ were on chairs in the room.
"Alex!" They screamed and ran over to see me.
The screaming woke up Bandit and then they screamed her name.
"When can we go home?"
"Next week." said the nurse at the door.
I sighed. What is there to do in a hospital for a week?
She walked up to me.
"Are you okay?"
I looked at the sling on my arm.
"Yeah...I guess so."
She smiled and walked out of the room.
Gerard and LynZ...er...Mom and Dad, I guess, hugged me, avoiding my shoulder.
"We gotta go now. We'll be back tomorrow." They said, walking to Bandit and hugging her.
"Love you guys." Gerard said, and with that they walked out.
I stood up.
"I'm gonna wander around...that ok?" I asked Bandit.
"Yeah, sure. I'm probably gonna sleep anyway."
I smiled and walked out of the room.
I walked until I heard kids laughing.
I looked in the room where it was coming from, and there was a little girl playing with a doll all alone. I felt so bad.
"Hey, why are you alone?" I said walking up to her.
She turned around and gasped.
"You're Alex from Disenchanted!" She yelled, and ran to hug me.
I laughed.
"Oh, and I'm alone because...nobody likes me." She said quietly.
"But why? You seem so sweet."
"...I have cancer. Everyone thinks it's contagious, so they don't want to be near me." She said, shying away from me a little.
"Oh my gosh. That's so sad. I'm so sorry. How old are you?" I asked.
"11."
"Hey!" Yelled a voice from the door.
A nurse walked up to me.
"You're supposed to be in your room."
I looked at my feet.
She grabbed my arm, and pulled me away. I turned to the girl, and mouthed, "I'll be back later."
