::AUTHORS NOTE:: READ OR YOU WONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!!!!!! OK this story is a little diffrent from the series just a couple things you need to relize before you read
1)Winry's mother was the only one killed in Ishbal and it was an accident. Mustang was going to pretend to kill them so they could escape, but when he was going to shoot at the cabin side her mother jumped in because she thought Mustang was going to shoot her husband. Winry's father is very ill and is stuck in bed and he is almost dead because he misses his wife so much.

2)When Ed is in a sticky situation this alchemist called the Wave Alchemist saves him and thoughout the story I think you may be able to figure out who it is and it may shock you or not I don't know.

Oh and another thing I'm not to good with the keyboard grammer so there might be some bad grammer and puntuation in here but i will try my best to make it like a real story, and I'm not the best speller eaither.

I'm haveing problems with the character thing so yea sorry about that

Winry Rockbell has been taking care of her father since he came back from the war in Ishbal. His wife and her mother's death has brought much suffering amoung their family, her father can barly sit up straight in his own bed. As she walked in to give him his daily medicine he finaly decided it was time to speak to his daughter after a week of deep silence:
"Winry i'm so lucky to have a daughter like you, you are the spitting image of your mother I could've sworn it was her walking in the room", Her father replied. "Daddy I'm just trying to make you happy" Winry replied to the sick man in front of her. "Winry, you have done everything you can to make me happy, you are a fantastic automacanic, you always keep the house tidy and in good shape, and you take care of your father who would be better off dead." Winry looked up with a furious look on her face and stampered up makeing the medicine on her lap spill "DON'T TALK LIKE THAT DADDY YOUR NOT GOING TO DIE.....IT WAS NEARLY SIX YEARS AGO WHEN SHE DIED I KNOW IT HURTS BUT NOBODY IS SICK FOR SIX YEARS!" Winry finally started to calm down after she saw the hurt look on her fathers face, "Winry I just can't get over my wife's death, Sara was my true love and i miss her dearly, and it upsets me that you are 16 and you still havent found someone you like or love. Your mother would've wanted you to find someone other than that Elric boy, I never liked that boy since he frightened you with that alchemy stunt" Winrys father said sadly as he avoided eye contact with his daughter. Winry sighed, she had been so upset with the way her father has been acting she forgot all about Edward. He left to be a state Alchemist and Winry hasn't seen him nor heard from him since she visited him and she was almost murdered! 'SOME VISIT' she thought to herself, But she missed Ed and Al very much. "Father whats wrong with being an alchemist you are one?" Winry asked her father, "Yes, but I haven't used my alchemy in 12 years, alchemy is a forbiddin science and i don't want you around any alchemist Winry!" her father replied angrily. 'Well, then I guess I shouldn't be around you then" Winry left the room feeling hurt by what her father said about Ed and Al. He just could't except the fact that her and Ed were best friends when they were little but in Winry's mind he wanted it to be more. Her father had gotton half his wish... she had fallen in love with someone, but of corse it had to be Ed- The Fullmetal Alchemist that everyone loved... Except her father..!

Edward And Alphonce decided that they should return to Rizenbool for repairs. Ed has grown alot and he needs Pinako to give him an Extention, plus he needs to catch up with Winry. He was dreading one thing tho... HER FATHER "He hates me Al, Why couldn't Winry's mom be alive instead of her dad at least she liked me" Ed complained, he knew her father would never let him be with Winry. Ed loved Winry so much and he regreted leaving her behind but he really didn't have much of a choice, he needed to find the stone! "Brother what dose it feel like to love someone?" Al asked out of nowhere. Ed spit out his water and looked at Al shockingly " WHAT?!?!? HOW WOULD...I....KNOW I....DON'T....LOVE....WINRY!!! I DON'T I....SWEAR" Ed hesitated. Alphonce looked at his brother strangly "I didn't say anything about Winry brother but you metioned her" Al said in his weird sneaky voice, "So....you love Winry huh?" Al said then laughed histaricly. "Yea...so? what't your point Al theirs nothing wrong with Winry she is pretty and smart and funny and.." Ed was sudenly intrupted by Al "and you love her!! wow me and Winry will be realted once you guys marry each other" Al said that like he was daydreaming. "Don't be stupid Al, Winrys father won't even let me hug her let alone marry her" Edward said sadly "Don't worry brother he will like you one day" Alphonce said cheeringly. But Ed didn't want to be cheered up, he wanted to tell Winry the truth and convince her father he's and OK guy and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. 'I LOVE WINRY ROCKBELL' Ed thought to himself, and one day I will tell her how I feel and I will marry her....even if it means giveing up everything

Meanwhile back at home Winry was sleeping in her bed when she woke up and discovered someone was walking around her house when she went to go see she couldn't belive it..."Daddy what are you doing out of your bed" Winry asked her father "Winry I'm willing to give Ed a shot, but if he messes up once I swear on Sara's grave I will not let him touch you ever again " her father said. Winry looked at her father as he continued to speak, "He's on his way here and when he gets here I'm going to speak with him" as her father finished Winry suddenly had enpough courage to speak up "why the sudden change of mind daddy?" Winry's father looked up and said " I know you love him Winry and your suffering without him here so I am willing to make you as happy as you possibly can be." Winry ran twords her father and hugged him as tears flowed down her soft cheeks and onto the ground and said "I love him so much daddy Ineed him with me here!" her father then relized his little girl had invited another man into her life....his little girl was now a young woman in love with an alchemist named Edward Elric, and he would have to accept that wheather he wanted to or not... and as he went back to sleep and waited till the morning when his daughter would once again be face to face with the love of her life he cried himself to a deep slumber...

Ed had gotten his wish- for Winry's father to accept him
Winry had gotton her wish- for her father to be heathy and acceptable
and Winry's father had his little girl find a man to love and his heart broken in the process...

Little did he know his little girl was not grown up yet..

so please tell me what you thought of it but if you didnt like it dont say uhh it sucked or anything like that just say something like it isnt the best in mayb you shouldn't write anymore stories like that opr something i thought it would be nice for winry's dad to be alive and show some father/daughter connection but remember thier are alot more twists you still dont know anything about the wave alchemist yet... muahhahahaha
