During the service I looked over at Kurt to see his head rolling. I nudged him, "Wake up!" I whispered. He opened his eyes and sighed, "Is this almost over?" He asked with a tortured expression. "Almost baby." I replied, "Go to the bathroom and put a little cold water on your face." He stood and tip-toed out. My mom leaned over, "You know he's not coming back right?" She whispered. "Have a little faith." I said with a smile. I sat there watching Pastor Henderson but not hearing what he was saying. It was like he was on mute. I couldn't bear listening to him, he was boring and long winded. I turned to see Kurt sit back down. He gave me a smug smile and kissed my cheek, "You didn't think I'd come back? Did you?" He asked. "I thought for sure you'd go outside." I replied. He chuckled, "I did too." He sighed, "And I almost did."
