The Sound of Winter
I don't even know who or what she is. She sure is a hot ass mystery Gerard.

I was under water for what seemed like forever, staring at the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, her long, wavy black strands waving through the crystal sea. Her smile was hypnotizing as I stared into her paralyzing blue eyes that left me breathless. I smiled and she reached out her hand to me, taking mine in hers as she squeezed it and played with my fingers gently. I used my unoccupied hand to cup her cheek as we stare into one another's eyes, saying things without words. She leaned into my touch and turned her head to kiss my palm, but her soft, pink lips missed as she was suddenly gone from sight, as if by magic she vanished. I stare through the blue sea, salt water stinging my eyes like hell, but I couldn't get her face out of my mind. I couldn't help but think it was a dream, a wonderful, crazy dream.
"Is he okay?" I heard someone muttering as I tried coming back to consciousness.
"Gerard...?" I felt someone tapping the sides of face and shaking me heavily. I popped my eyes open only to be greeted by the blinding sun that was glaring dimly, due to sunset.
"Thank fucking god." Another voice said trying to pull me up by my shoulders but I wouldn't budge, the light was just too much for me. I rubbed my eyes to get them use to my surroundings before coming to a sitting position.
"..shit." I mumbled rubbing the back of my neck as I felt a creak start forming.
"Gerard, man. What the fuck happened out there?" I turned my head to the left to see Frank and Ray kneeling beside me with flustered faces.
"I...what happened?" I looked side to side seeing familiar and unfamiliar faces staring, waiting for me to answer.
"You almost drowned dude." My brother tossed me a towel before hitting me in the shoulder roughly. "Your lucky Bob noticed you weren't on the surface otherwise you would have died." I then remembered it all coming back to me now. The guys and myself were tossing a football back and forth pretty far out before suddenly I was yanked under water by some strange force. I tried coming back up for air but it was as if someone were holding me under, only causing me to struggle.
"I don't know. I was...I just guess it was a rip current or something." I sputtered trying to figure out how they didn't get drug out to sea.
"Maybe." Mikey stated before pulling me up by my arm to bring me to my feet.
"Your one lucky ass guy Gee bear." Bob was to my right holding me up with a goofy grin on his face. "Thank god I was sucked under with you, then your ass would have been done for. None of these dumb asses know how to perform CPR." He smacked my bare back a couple times just to be sure all of the water was out of my lungs.
"Shut the fuck up." I giggled shoving them from my shoulders. "Your a dick Bob." I said tiredly feeling so overwhelmed from the day.
"Alright. Lets go guys Gee is getting pissed off. Its best we all go back to the beach house to get some rest." Frank threw his arm around my shoulder leading me towards our rented beach house along Belmar Beach, New Jersey we stay in during the summer.
"You guys go ahead, I want to walk the beach a few minutes. Get some fresh air." I said as all four of them paused and looked at me with sympathy.
"Just don't go drown again." Bob mumbled under his breath. "I won't be out here to save you this time." They ran across the sand towards the beach front two story house, leaving me staring out to sea. Crystal blue waves were crashing against the shore, breaking shells beneath its wrath, harsh winds blowing clouds overhead, very few people were around now, as most were heading home. I sighed and walked closer to the water letting it soak my feet deep into the wet, golden sand. When its chilled wetness touched me, I felt a shock and something else, almost like a sudden urge to go back in. I looked up from my feet and watched as more and more waves were coming in, only getting more violent as the thunder rolled. I wasn't sure but as the sun peaked behind a gray cloud, something was sparkling beneath the water, not the normal glare you see reflecting but a shimmering green color, indescribably unique. It was traveling through the water, skimming right under the surface, catching my eye with each sharp turn it made. My common sense got the best of me as I thought it could be a school of fish. I turned around and began to walk towards the condo, ready for sleep to claim me from quite an exhausting day.
"I take it you didn't drown?" Ray commented as soon as I walked through the front door. I just wanted to get upstairs and shower before the rest of them hogged all the hot water.
"No smart ass. I didn't drown." I headed upstairs and ignored any other comments from the guys as they laughed from below. I turned the shower head on as the warm water enveloped me, rinsing away all the grime and sand from my body. I lathered my body in suds and leant back against the wall letting the water relax my muscles. The events of today kept running through my head but one in particular caught my eye. Her beautiful face smiling angelically at me, her soft hands touching me and squeezing my palm. If only I knew how soft her lips would have been, but I still was unsure of whether I dreamt that or if it really happened. I loved her gorgeous blue eyes that shone with a light inside them, the way her hair hid her chest from the world, her...
"Gee, hurry the fuck up. I've got to shower!" Mikey was pounding on the door right outside, interrupting my thought process.
"Okay! Damn." I screamed back with a bit more attitude than intended. I left the shower running for him as I wrapped a towel around my waist before letting my brother in.
"Dude, wait til I'm out of the bathroom." I said as he began stripping his clothes right in front of me. Not that I haven't seen my brother naked before but I didn't want to see him now.
"Well, get out." He mumbled as he hopped in the shower behind the glass doors. I shook my head and shut the door behind as I walked down the wood floor to my room. I closed the door behind me before sauntering over to the window that overlooked the sea along with the pool right beneath us. The clouds were still rolling over the water rapidly and the waves were crashing violently, the sound of thunder booming all around. I touched the glass before turning back around and sauntering over to my dresser to change.
