Hi. This was written for the word prompt 'Zombie', and I just thought I'd post it on here (: Feedback is much appreciated. Some of it is slightly similar to a bit in Translations of Blood, but it shouldn't matter. Enjoy!


Zombie

My wings are scabbed.
My skin is cracked.
My teeth are crumbling.
My blood is black.

I’m infected in hostage,
Suffocated, silenced,
In dead vein bondage.

Rancid tentacles,
Strangle my pulse,
Gouge out my heart and my lungs and my blood.

Watch me change,
Contort,
Convulse.

Until I’m defiled,
Nothing but a husk.
Empty
Insanity.

My lips stitched into bloodstained smiles,
My heart gagged to ruptured humanity.
My soul is dead.

Blackened.
Tarnished.

So go on.

Torment me now. Taunt me. Tease me.

I dare you.

Destroy me.

I'm empty.

I'm a Zombie.
