The Doctor ambled down the Alley, making inroads into a bag of sweets. Romana trailed behind, peering into shop windows at heavy books and arcane implements.
She nearly crashed into him as he stopped in his tracks. His face was grim as he ducked into a narrow space between shops. She followed.
Relief washed over his face as he spied a dustbin. He lifted the lid, spat out a mouthful of candy, and threw the remainder of the bag in after.
To Romana, he muttered darkly: 'If I ever think of buying jelly babies from Bertie Bott's again, shoot me.'
