Dancing in the Dark

I told you.
I told you
About the voices,
And the rages,
And the depression,
And the screaming
Coming from nowhere.

And you said
You like me crazy.
You meant
You like the way
I need you,
The way I lean on you,
The way I'm oh so vulnerable.
And I don't mind.

Does it really matter
Why you stay,
As long as you do?
Does it really matter
If its out of
Pity or love?

As long as though golden orbs
Never leave my side
And I can forever
Drink in your scent,
I will always be content.

Maybe I'll even
Open this hole inside my mind up
A little wider,
And it can swallow
Us both in.

Then we can dance
In the darkness together
