I'm In a Hospital

by WHiTeNoiSe 1 review

Lyrics from the point of view of someone trapped in an insane asylum. I'm not locked down yet! Still got some fight left in me before I'm actually sent to the funny farm.

She sheds her skin
No reflection in sight
I'm in a hospital
Stitches and stitches
Tired of the gray and white
Are we broken
or just living
Sink fast
Run hard
Digging deeper to escape the light

Welcome to a world
Where we like to pretend
I'm in a hospital
Needles and needles
Waiting for the dream to end
Are we blind
Or are we seeing
Breathe deep
Think quick
Running from the demon that is my friends

I'm in a hospital
I'm in a hospital
It's really quite lovely here
Call me a freak
I'll just laugh myself into tears
And when the medication comes
Give a smile for the lucky ones
I am the screams of what you're hiding from
Turn away
If I can't see you, you can't see me

Ohhh the pain
How it likes to slip away
I'm in a hospital
And oh, how I'd love to stay

No more stitches
No more needles
I'm all better now
My scars have healed
At least, I think they have
Take a closer look
What's that red along the edges?
Oh...

Ha...
Ha ha....
HA!
