I have worked at Club Vine for about 2 days now. It's not as bad as people make it out to be, surprisingly. The down side to working there is the men. Some of them are a little, how can I put this nicely? Obnoxious? I have one man offer me 250 dollars to give him a blow job when I got off work. Needless to say, I declined. Gerard as done well with keeping my little secret although, he still wants to watch me dance someday, the little pervert.

I am working tonight and I have to go in two hours early. Something about a band performing? I don't know. I just want to get it over with. A band performing tonight means a lot more men being present. So in other words, more groping? The thought itself sickens me.

"Violet", Aunt Linda called from downstairs, "Gerard is here to take you to work"
"Okay, I will be right down"

I took a quick look in the mirror and decided to change my look a little bit. I braided my hair in one long braid down my back. This could make for a good set. I walked downstairs, hugged Aunt Linda and headed out to Gerard's car.

"Hey Vi"
"Hey fucker"
"Why so fancy tonight?", he said while smirking.
"Well, there is a band performing tonight so if I can put on a good set with all the people there I can make some serious cash"
"Hmm..", He paused, "What band?"
"I have no fuckin clue."

Everything was quiet until we got to the club. I said my goodbye and Gerard said his and I headed into the building. It was already packed. I barely made it to the dressing area. Liz soon appeared.

"Miss V! I have some great news. Since you seem to be the favorite, you will be on the big stage tonight beside the band. Make me proud!", She grinned and gave me a quick kiss. I learned quick this was normal for her. I will probably have mono by the end of the month.

I got dressed and walked up to my stage. The announced my set was starting. Unknown to me, I would be dancing to the live band's music. As soon as the started playing, I felt my heart drop. My Chemical Romance. But, I moved on. I doubt they would notice me, and Gerard would cover for me, I hoped. A song started.

In the middle of a gun fight

I turned to face the crowd.

In the center of a restaurant

I let my braid loose.

They say come with your arms raised high

My hands traveled down my body as I bent down

Well they're never gonna get me

I swung my head back

Like a bullet through a flock of doves
to wage this war against your faith in me
Your life will never be the same

I let go. It's kind of a blur when I do these. Before I knew it, it was over. I walked off stage and thankfully avoided the band. I need a new job ASAP. I waited until they left and called Gerard. He answered on the first ring.

"Yes beautiful"
"Cut the shit Gerard. Are the guys home yet?"
"No, um..." he stopped to listen to the guys "I'll by in about 45 mins"
"Fuck, okay bye"

I hung up and went to the bar. I definitely needed a drink.
One drink quickly turned into five. I was pleasantly sitting outside when Gerard pulled up. I climbed in the car and immediately started screaming.

"What the fuck Gee?! You think you could have warned me, shit!"
"The look on your face was fuckin priceless though. Don't worry I kept your little secret. The guys didn't even see you"
"You better be fuckin glad too!"
"Or what? They'll find out you're selling your self worth!", He snapped his mouth shut.

I sat there with my mouth hanging wide open not sure of what to say. But, he was right. Tears threatened my eyes.

"Oh Vi, please don't cry. You're doing all you can. I'm so sorry."
"Shhh. Just stop. You're fuckin right just take me home"

When I finally got home I said no departing words to Gerard. I walked straight to my room and collapsed onto my bed. Tomorrow will be better, tomorrow will be different.
