I'm surprised no one has reviewed this story yet. I found it amazing - how you flesh out the character of Beatrice, how Ed has aged, the way you describe his lost faith. This fic has been placed firmly on my favorites list. Cheers!Good Intentions

Ok, you definately deserve another review for this. I really liked this story and your original character was -very- good. I liked the feeling of connection between Ed and Beatrice, as well as the sense of -longing- as she's trying to understand the array that Ed has refused to explain to her. It's as if Amestris is a part of her as well as Ed and she misses it, even if she doesn't realize what it is she's missing. Nice choice of career for her as well; a doctor who deals in chemistry and biology as a bridge to the alchemist that Ed will always be.
I also liked how you left the ending open; did she or did she not activate the array? Logically I know she didn't without a human sacrifice, but if you ever wanted to, you could probably expand the story. Either way, though, it still emphasizes her connection to her grandfather nicely.
A beautiful and original story. You should be very proud of this piece; it's certainly going in my favorites.Good Intentions
