- Nice story. I do hope Harry is the only one who reads the book that Albus left him. I hate stories where Harry gets great books and gives them to Hermione and she reads them and masters all of the spells. There has to be a reason why people like Hermione cannot do magic like Albus is capable of doing and I think it has to do with magical power and in order for Harry to beat Tom he has to be just as powerful as him. It only makes sense that Harry would become one of the best wizards alive by the time he beats Tom. Of course JKR doesn't make much sense in her stories. I mean really love is not going to beat Tom not directly anyway. It might cause Harry to want to train and fight and allow him to use some rare type of magic but other than that I don't see it doing much. By the way, Ron bashing is always the right way to go with pretty much any story as far as I am concerned. Ron is nothing more than a hinderance to Harry. Update soon.
(#) jbstarnes1 2006-07-07"It's just... Dumbledore spent a couple of decades looking, and even with all the resources at his disposal, he was only able to find and destroy one Horcrux"
Actually Dumbledore spent all of 3 years looking. He didn't have any idea Horcruxes were the way Voldemort had stayed alive until the end of Harry's second year.
- A good start to the story. One thing that I noticed in this chapter was
"The entire world was annihilated by white light." Annihilated seems like a poor fit there. Inundated would work better, at least to my ears and eyes. Other than minute things like that it's good.
- Hestia Jones reminds me of Tonks with a differant name, make her have a unique character. I love the pairing this must be the first ship of its kind. I was ghoing to do one like this (soon) from a comment that shezza88 said about it. I'm glad she's been included, she's such a rare choice...almost none existant really...
- Very, very nicely done, I like how Dementors are not cowed but enraged by the destruction from their number. As far a the sword, great scene but I hope for some sort of explaination next chapter on the bonding issue and the idea of having it as a focus: remember, aiming a wand at someone or something is a hell of a lot easier than doing it through a sword, but just using the sword as a point and shoot thing is kind of a cop-out imho. Still, great job, keep up the good work!
