I knew it.
I knew it was too good to be true.
That beautiful true blue,
that I thought was in you.
I knew it was too good to be true,
knowing that my vision was skewed.
I knew it was too good to be true,
when you stopped saying 'I love you'.
I knew it was too good to be true,
when the leaves blew
off of all the trees that I once knew.
I knew it was too good to be true,
when I felt my heart accrue.
I knew it was too good to be true,
when I felt myself become anew.
I knew it was too good to be true,
when they told me to let you go,
that for my sanity, I had to.
