Meredith speaking
We come into a world that has given us pleasures of food, water, and other intelligent life. Humans were meant to become equals and to be treated such as equals. We have our wars, we have our fights, and we just come down to some of the bickering. Then, it all boils down to love, feelings s what the world gives us. As much as we'd love to run from it and concentrate on what we specialize in life. Love comes around and well, bites us in the ass.
Melrose Turner stared at the front of her newest job at Seattle Grace. She took a deep breath watching everyone move in and out of the building. She chewed on her lip, a habit of hers since Med school. She took a deep breath and wrapped her coat around her tightly, she wasn't used to this cold weather. She was used to New York, where she belonged but Seattle Grace was a prestigious teaching hospital and Richard Webber begged for her to come. She took in another breath and stepped forward pushing through the doors.
Meredith smiled at Christina going into the elevator, Christina narrowed her eyes at Meredith. "You're surprisingly happy this morning." "I'm going to try to be happy." Meredith smiled to herself. "Good luck." Christina straighened herself up, the doors slowly began to close. "Hold the door!" Meredith leaned forward and held the door, seeing an unfamiliar brunette come in. "Thank you so much." Christina looked up from her book at the woman. "No problem." Meredith turned and faced the elevator. Christina eyed the woman, she wondered where'd she seen her face from. It was driving her crazy but she just couldn't get it out of her head where she'd seen the woman from. Melrose swallowed nervously, aware that the strange woman was gawking at her. The silence was very awkward and embarrassing. Meredith was quiet but kept herself caught up in her own thoughts. She hadn't seen Derek for the whole weekend, since then he had been out of town with his sister. She was excited to see him and finally sum up the courage to tell him that she wanted him to move in. The elevator finally dinged, and just like clock work it finally struck Christina who the woman was. Melrose walked out with Christina at her heels holding a finger at Melrose's back. "You're-" Christina began before getting cut off, "Melrose Turner!" Melrose turned around and smiled at Dr. Webber. "It's good to see you, Dr. Webber." Richard waved his hand and hugged her tightly. "Call me Richard. Welcome aboard to Seattle Grace." Melrose smiled hugely, "I'll show you where your staff is," Richard turned and found Christina staring at the two, her finger still pointing at Melrose. "Ah, Christina! I think you've heard of Dr. Turner?" Melrose's blue eyes shot to Christina with wonder. "Dr. Yang is interested in Cardio an was an excellent intern but makes a perfect resident." "It's amazing to meet you, Dr. Yang." Christina shook her head and grasped Melrose's hand. "It's an honor, I've heard that you've saved several women with your sutures with their heart?" Melrose smiled, "I have. I studied in cardio for a while before actually moving to Obstetrics." "She's the new Head of OBGYN." Richard declared happily. Meredith watched from a far seeing the amazement on Christina's face, Izzie Stevens approached Meredith holding her regular cup of Earl Grey. "Who's Christina drooling over?" Izzie asked opening her newest patient. "That's our newest Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Melrose Turner" Izzie closed her file and darted over to Melrose. "Dr. Turner, I'm a HUGE fan, I worked with Dr. Montgomery for several of her cases while she was here." Melrose's throat closed up hearing Addison's name, her head turned to Richard who sighed. "Addison was here?" "For the time being, she chose LA over us. I can assure you there will be no more surprises." She turned to Izzie, "Well, it's nice to meet you, Dr..?" "Stevens, Izzie Stevens." "Dr. Stevens, I look forward to work with you." Izzie smiled hugely, Christina shot daggers at her. "Dr. Yang, I surely hope that you can come with me on my next case." Christina nodded at her, "Of course, I'd love to. It'd be an amazing honor to work with you." Meredith laughed lightly and looked down at her patient list. She felt arms slid through her jacket, and warm lips touch the back of her neck. "Who's the new guy?" Derek whispered into Meredith's ear, "That is our newest Head of Obstetrics, Melrose Turner." Derek's eyes shot up to the woman that Dr. Webber was finally getting lead away from Izzie and Christina. He moved away from Meredith and slowly walked towards Melrose. "Why is everyone leaving me when I say her name?" Meredith said to herself watching Derek approach. "Ah, Dr. Turner I'd like you to meet our Head of Neuro-" "Derek!" Melrose yelped happily before hugging him tightly. "I don't like her anymore." Meredith hissed to Christina. "You two know each other?" Dr. Webber asked with a confused face. "Derek and I were best friends in Med school, and high school. We would copy each other's homework in high school." Derek grinned at his old best-friend and hugged her tightly. "It's great to see you! You look great, and already taking Seattle Grace by the horns." Melrose laughed and nodded, "I'm ready to hop back on the bull." "It's about time, Mel. It's about damn time. You gotta show Dr. Webber what you got." "Oh, I think he already knows what skills I have, or he wouldn't have begged me to come." Dr. Webber saw Mark Sloan come out of the elevator and start approaching. "Finally! Dr. Turner, we'd love you to meet our Head of Plastics," Sloan saw the back of the attractive with curves that ran down like an hour glass, he put on one of his most sexiest smirks and prepared himself to woo this woman. "Mark Sloan." Melrose stopped and froze, Derek finally realized it when he saw the pain strike across her eyes. "Well, It's a pleasure to meet you-" Mark Sloan didn't finish seeing Melrose turn around and anger flash across her eyes, shock ran through him seeing in slow motion of Melrose's arm slowly rise up. "Son of a bitch." He murmured
