Sorry the update has been slow, bad week...
Mikey POV
Dragging Gerard onto his bed Frankie and I propped him up, pinning his shoulders to the wall to prevent him from falling forward; shaking him slightly to make sure he hadn’t become unconscious.
‘He…he was mine.’ He stuttered quietly between sobs.
‘I know Gee, I know it hurts, but you have to stay strong.’ I hushed him, stroking his hair, my heart shattering every time he spoke.
Whimpering, he stifled a hysterical cry with his hand and buried his face in his pillow, muffled crying echoing around his cluttered room. Curling up into a ball he hugged himself tightly, rocking slightly like a crazed maniac.
I nervously glanced at Frankie, his eyes wide and anxious, his quivering hands rubbing Gerard’s back soothingly. I gestured to Frankie to ask if we should go, but he just bit his lip and carried on comforting Gerard, shaking his head in response.
For fuck sake if he wants to stay and feel up my brother then just fucking stay, I think I know what’s best for Gerard either way.
‘Fine Frankie fucking stay with him!’ I accidently spat, rolling my eyes.
My sudden outburst caused Gerard to turn around to face me sharply, his eyes glassy and red. I started to storm away when I heard a childish croak from behind me. Turning around on my feet I glared angrily at the two huddled friends, holding onto each other for dear life.
‘Michael, please…please don’t leave me, I-I can’t d-do it.’ Gerard squeaked, breaking down into Frankie’s chest, clutching desperately onto his jacket, weighing him down slightly.
Tutting at me, Frank wrapped is arms around Gerard, and sat there in silence with him, muttering softly in his ear occasionally. Rubbing my forehead my guilty conscience kicked in and I rushed over to Gerard apologetically, prising him from Franks grip and squeezing him tightly.
I could feel his ribs jutting out, along with his hips and collarbones, the hollows in his cheeks sinking further in when he inhaled his unsteady breathes. It fucking breaks my heart to see him do this to himself, he has no idea how it’s destroying him, how it’s destroying me. I’m determined to bring him back, and that means pushing our differences aside.
‘I’m so sorry Gee, I love you.’ I whispered, unable to process whether anyone could hear the inaudible mutter.
‘I love you too Mikes.’ Gee replied weakly, wheezing slightly.
Frankie stood up gingerly and awkwardly smiled at me, then leaned down over Gerard and kissed him on the head, walking out to leave us alone. Disheartened, I cradled Gee in my arms, his tears damping my shirt, black eyeliner smudging all over his pasty skin. Running a hand through his dishevelled hair he leaned up against the wall, his cries subsiding, only the odd sniff making a noise.
‘Mikey, can I be on my own for a bit please?’ He asked tiredly, his hazel eyes pleading with me.
‘I…I don’t trust you Gee.’ I said finally, slumping back next to him, head down.
‘Mikey, the last few years have been fucking awful, for all of us, including Levi. I’ve made every ones life a living hell, and I can’t do it anymore, I can’t stand by and watch the people I love get hurt. I’ve lost one person, and I’m damn right going to try my hardest to keep fighting…I can’t loose anyone I-I just can’t.’ He spluttered out, exhaling sharply after.
My eyes felt watery as I rested my head on his, feeling the weight being lifted off his tiny shoulders. Pushing my glasses back into position, I smiled at my brother, holding his hand lightly.
‘I trust you Gee.’ I breathed out.
Kissing his icy cheeks I stood up, swallowing the large lump which had formed in my throat. Sighing I exited his room, closing the door behind me and leaning against it, my eyes staring at the cob webs entwining around the wooden panels on the ceiling.
‘How is he?’ A worried Frankie asked, fiddling with his jacket.
‘I…I think he’s going to be okay Frankie.’ I smiled. my voice quiet yet hopeful.
A sigh of relief escaped Frankie’s mouth as he thundered down the stairs in record time and elevated my small frame off the ground in a tight hug. Hesitating, I hugged him back too, nuzzling my face in his neck, butterflies appearing in the pit of my stomach.
I felt soft tickly fur on my arm and recognised the fabric automatically, grasping it out of Frankie’s hands.
‘Where the fuck did you find Fluffy?!’ I demanded, shoving the toy unicorn in his face, Frankie’s eyes lighting up.
‘Ray might have told me that you kept him tucked under your bed…’ He tried to seriously say, the corners of his mouth turning up.
‘I’m gonna kill him…’ I hissed to myself, causing Frankie to burst into a fit of loud giggles, his mouth forming into that beautiful smile of his.
Pursing my lips together I clutched Fluffy to my chest, stroking his mane like an evil genius, gently rubbing my nose into the soft toys side. Still laughing, Frankie threaded his fingers through mine and dragged me up the stairs, giggling like a 12 year old girl. He jumped the top stair and his face collided with the floor, a loud yelp exploding from his mouth.
‘For fucks sake!’ He screamed in anguish, rubbing his head.
Kneeling down next to him I raised my eyebrow and ruffled his hair, my mouth twitching.
‘Would you like Fluffy Frankie?’ I asked sweetly, making Fluffy gallop up his leg and stop at his face, pecking him on his lips.
Giving me a death glare Frankie brushed me off him, then innocently snatched Fluffy from my hands and cuddled it under his chin, his eyes squeezed shut.
‘Does Fluffy love me?’ He questioned in a higher toned voice, his eyes glinting.
‘Well someone has too.’ I say playfully, punching his arm slightly.
‘You told me you loved Frankie though Mikey.’ Frankie muffled, his face hidden by Fluffy, his voice at least an octave higher.
Blushing, I looked away, biting my lip. Frankie’s face appeared in front of mine, making me jump.
‘Well, Frankie loves Mickey.’ He spoke softly, leaning in and pressing his lips to mine, stroking my cheek with the back of his hand lovingly.
I could feel all my troubles evaporating as Frankie kissed me lightly, his mouth slow, the kiss fuelled with passion and innocence, those butterflies dancing in time to the rhythm of his lips. Biting my lip very lightly and tracing my collarbone with his fingertips he bounced up attentively and skidded to the kitchen, that darn sideward’s grin making me flustered.
Fuck that kid has a spell on me.
Frank POV
My brain wasn’t hurting anymore after I kissed Mikey, so I pounced up and bolted it to the kitchen before I ruined the innocence with pure lust. I smiled happily to myself, whilst whistling, flicking the kettle on, waiting for the water to boil.
Until I caught a glimpse of Gee in the corner of my eye, my heart pounding uncomfortably, banging against my chest. He had wiped his face of all his makeup, his skin still as beautifully flawless as before, the purest rose tinge hinting his cheeks and around his eyes where he’d been crying. Vivid hazel orbs sparkled unsettled in the light, his long black eyelashes framing them perfectly.
He looked like a troubled kid.
His hair tinted blue ever so slightly in the light, the soft glossy uncontrollable mess tucked behind one of his pixie ears, instead of dangling around in front of his face, obscuring his heart shaped face. His white childlike teeth nibbled his bottom lip, making me open my mouth involuntarily, his cute little nose twitching.
Oh fuck.
No. No! I’m supposed to like Mikey, not Gee!
Just on cue Mikey strolls in happy, bearing all his pearly whites, his hair awkwardly sticking up in odd angles, but his fringe hugging his jaw line. I stared at him desperately, trying to find anything about him that made my heart race like when I glance at Gee.
But I couldn’t.
Mikey was hot. No trouble there. There was also definitely a spark…but only when I envision G-… Shit.
I’m in love with Gerard.
STUPID MOTHERFUCKING BRAIN.
Frantically I messily poured three cups of water, clumsily adding coffee and sugar and stirring them wildly, my face screwed up in concentration.
‘Err you okay Frankie?’ Mikey asked, his arms crossed.
Slamming my fist on the counter I pivoted on my foot and faced Mikey, his face dropping. I grabbed his wrist and took him outside in the corner, leaving a bewildered Gerard swaying in the door way, eyeing up the coffee.
‘Frank what the fuck?’ Mikey laughed uneasily, trying to loosen my grip around his wrist.
‘Mikey I can’t do this…its wrong.’ I rushed, panicking, my eyes wild and skimming around the garden.
‘Slow down Frank what can’t you do?’ He asked me calmly, pressure building up..
‘This!’ I shrieked wailing my arms above my head.
I flung myself heavily on the garden wall and buried my face in my hands, breathing slowly to stop my panic.
‘Tell me Frank.’ Mikey demanded coldly, slumping down next to me.
‘I thought I wanted you Mikes…I…’ Hesitating, I looked at him studying his face.
He looked like he was about to crumble.
‘Just…spit it out Frank.’ He said fidgeting, clearly agitated.
‘Please don’t be mad at me Mikey…I thought I wanted you not Gee, my brain was forcing me to be with you because you were the safest option, you reminded me of my mother when I was little before she killed herself and I felt safe with you. When Gee hit me, he reminded me of my Dad and how he beats me up and stuff, and I got scared and I was lonely, I had no one to talk to. Then I realised that everyone’s different, everyone’s unique, and, and…’ Sniffing, I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths.
‘I think I’m falling for Gee.’
There was an odd few moments of silent, where the only sound that was emitted was the sound of the breeze making the leaves rustle. I began to feel awkward and guilty again, and I opened my eyes, glancing at Mikey, who was furrowing his eyebrows.
Turning my body around towards him I cupped his face, making him look me in the eye.
‘Mikey, you’re my best friend, you’re the only person who I have ever met who has bothered to be nice to me, in fact amazing to me. I don’t want to loose that.’
A tear dripped down my cheek and Mikey wiped it with his sleeve, smiling at me sympathetically.
‘I understand Frankie. Yeah it hurts…a hell of a lot and I’m pissed off at the fact that you didn’t just say this in the first place. But, I love my brother, and I know he cares a lot about you. Hell he never speaks to anyone and he spoke to you! I didn’t know about your mother Frankie, I’m so sorry…’
Shaking his head, he pulled my hands from his face and put them back on my lap, squeezing slightly. Widening his arms I snaked mine around his waist as he patted me on the back, resting his head in my hair.
Releasing me he playfully punched my arm again and I smiled weakly, my gaze flickering over to someone leaning on the door frame.
Flicking his bangs out of his eyes he sipped his coffee delicately, staring at my face. I was immediately lost. Those eyes harboured a dark world, full of destruction, and I knew that Gee wanted to create beautiful things and not destroy them, even though he was demolishing the most beautiful thing in the world.
Himself.
‘How much did you hear of that Gee?’ Mikey quietly asked blushing.
‘Enough.’ He replied, his glare still burning my back.
Before I could say anything Donna sang a hello to us all, signalling our attention. We all trudged in, Mikey and I sitting next to each other, Gerard flinging himself on the counter, swinging his skinny legs.
Donna smiled warmly at us all and rushed over to Gee, cuddling him. Surprisingly, Gerard hugged her back awkwardly, shifting away from her slightly when the intimacy got to long.
‘I’m sorry sweetheart.’ She apologized softly, causing Gerard to alter his eyes down again, sniffing.
‘I was going to go out tonight with some of my work friends, but I don’t have to if you don’t want me to.’ She said, tilting her head at Gerard who was still marvelled by the floor.
‘You go. I have Mikey and Frankie.’ He croaked, quickly moving his stare towards my face then back down again.
‘You sure honey?’
‘Yes Mama, I’m fine it’s ju…’ Gee trailed off, as he stared at the floor, horror veiling his face, his jaw dropping.
Shrilly screaming at the top of his voice he scrambled on top of the counter, masking his eyes and half his mouth with his hands, body trembling. We all looked at him bemused, not quite knowing what to do as he carried on screaming. Swiftly realising he was the only one reacting to the mysterious scare he pointed a quivering pale finger towards the floor, his amber eyes watery.
‘HOLY MOTHER F-‘ I screeched flinging myself haphazardly on the dining table, cowering away from the massive black spider paralyzed on the floor. Fanning my face with my hands Gerard and I carried on shrieking at the insect, whilst Mikey and Donna stood there, arms crossed, stifling laughs.
THERES A FUCKING SPIDER AND THEY’RE JUST STANDING THERE ARE THEY FUCKING CRAZY?
Calmly, Mikey stepped over the fucking spider, and then glided to the basin, retrieving a glass and grabbing a sheet of paper, then orderly placed the glass over the spider, causing Gerard and I too scream even louder warning Mikey of the dangers that could come with extreme bravery. Sliding the paper underneath he skipped (YES FUCKING SKIPPED WITH THE SPIDER) to the back door and flung it out, laughing at out our own expenses.
Flustered, Gerard lightly jumped down and stumbled slightly, still fanning his own face from the shock, Mikey still in bits. Mikey found it more hilarious that I was currently stuck on the dining room table because I was afraid of heights and couldn’t jump down.
Crying, Mikey fell to the floor, whilst I stood on the table frozen, my 2 worst nightmares coming true. Now I just needed Mikey to get his highly trained unicorn army on me (yes he has threatened me before) and then my life would be over.
Flashing into action Gee held out his bony artist hands to me, as I gratefully clutched his hand with all the strength I could muster, wondering what we were going to do next.
‘Jump and I’ll catch you!’ Gerard suggested enthusiastically, smiling widely.
Cautiously, I nodded my head franticly and leaped into the fragile arms of Gerard Way, his weak body collapsing under the sudden weight as we both crash to the floor.
‘I – can’t – breath.’ Mikey squealed excitedly, his eyes watering overtime.
Unimpressed Gerard jumped up, brushing his skeleton onesie and stretching his limbs. I just noticed how ironic Gee looked in a skeleton baby grow, but decided against bringing it up.
Rolling his eyes Gerard picked me up (struggling) and started to brush my back from the dust, his hands touching my back making my spine tingle. Pleasured, I twirled round to face him, his face looking shocked that I want to actually look at him.
‘You could at least ask permission before touching my ass.’ I joked, winking at him.
‘Looks like you don’t mind too much.’ He whispered huskily, leaning in, eyes skimming down to my package.
Great.
I have a hard on.
Blushing, I crossed my legs and sat down; resting my head on the table, wishing the table would come alive and eat me.
Mikey returned to the kitchen briefly and eyed us up and down, smiling slightly. I gazed up at Gerard and I noticed something different. A smile. An actual genuine smile.
‘You should smile like that more often Gee, it’s gorgeous.’ I manage to say, then frowning straight after, realising what I just said.
‘Okay love birds, Ray’s coming over and so is Bob, so order some pizza and we’ll get this party started. Starting with… The Walking Dead!’ Snapping his fingers rhythmically he skipped away happily to the lounge, collapsing on the couch and resting his legs on the side.
Giggling, I glanced up at Gee again, his smile still prominent on his tragic face.
Fuck he was beautiful.
The story is far from over by the way sweeties, thought I would write it a bit more lighthearted because I've had a sh*t week >.< More drama too come R&R!
