The year was 1976. It was a hot June afternoon in the little city of Lafayette, Indianna. The flowers were blooming scarlet red's and vibrant yellow's while the bees grew plump from all the nectar they had soaked up. Everyone was out trimming their grass or getting a chilling ice cream to cool down.

It was June 11th to be exact. Four days before my 13th birthday. You could normally find me hanging out with a few of the neighbor kids in the fields behind my house. I didn't live in Lafayette for long, but long enough to know that's not where I wanted to stay...
