When I was a young slug
My father took me into the city
To see some marching slugs
He said "Slug when you grow up
Will you be the savior of the salted
The salted and the damned?"
He said "Will you defeat them
Your demons
And all the non believers
The plans that they have made?
Because one day I'll leave you a phantom
To lead you through the salt
To join the grape jelly
When I was a young slug

Sometimes I get the feeling she's watching over me
And other times I feel like I should crawl
When through my side,the slip and slide, the shells all in the street
