  Wow, Theo read my mind. I was going to say it would be entirely too funny if somehow Harry won, and completely by accident. He wasn't paying attention- was actually trying to lose- and just moved a piece, and it ended up resulting in checkmate.

  This is delightful. May I suggest a follow-on with Hermione's reaction to Harry 'losing' the prize of Lavender's virginity to Ron?

  Have to agree with the first three reviews -- with Harry's luck (not to mention Ron's), Harry would likely win!

  As original as I've seen.
  Of course, with Harry's luck...and canon Harry is all about luck. Almost as bad as Naruto.

  Quite an original and funny little something, and, if wanted, the beginning of more shenanigans as suggested in the other reviews.
  Which brings me to the next point: are you ever going to update your other stories? Because this story means you were alive a year ago, which can't be said for those stories.

  Hehe, this is nice, poking fun at the Harry x Whoever excuse plots that have become wearyingly ubiquitous in HP fanfiction. And Imma headcanon Ron winning this, just to be contrary to all the other reviewers. XP

  My own headcanon for the story is as EvilFuzzy9's, if anyone was wondering, but I did choose to leave it open-ended.
  
  If I ever did a sequel to this, it would be on that premise, and would likely include Hermione's reaction - which will be different than it would be if this were a legally-binding contract, rather than an honour debt.
