/In Silent Softness/
by Dancingkatz
In silent softness
The sky is falling,
Bits of brightness
Fall from cloud to earth.
Landing lightly upon
The heads of stone angels
In this resting place
Of sleeping sinners.
A benediction of sorts,
The snow gently caresses
the names and the times
Of lives long passed by.
I sit in the the snowfall
A statue of flesh;
With a heart frozen
And hard as ice.
Turn me to snow.
Let my heart shatter
Until I am nothing more
than snowflakes.
Freezing the hurts
That have sent me
Wandering, looking
For peace and grace.
