Ch 68 Always 

Josh's pov 

"Josh! Josh! Wake up!" I hear voices. 

I don't want to wake up. 

"Josh! Please, wake up!" 

No. 

I'm gonna hurl. 

I reluctantly open my eyes. 

"Hey, how you feeling there?" Dad asks. 

"Dead. Very dead." I groan. 
Everyone laughs. 

"What happened?" 

"You finished a song, then you got really pale and looked like you were gonna puke, and you fainted..." Matt says. 

"I...fainted?" 

"Yeah." 

I look around, and start moving my arms and legs. Good I'm not paralyzed. I realise my head hurts bad though. I rub my temples, and close my eyes.

"Miles, should we take him to the hospital?" Mom asks worriedly. 

"Corlynn, let Josh wake up more." 

I put a hand on my head, and quickly pull it away, out of pain. 

I look down at my hand.

I'm bleeding... 

Mom gasps. 

"Miles, we need him to go." 

"Corlynn, calm down. We need to see how Josh is feeling." 

Dad turns to me. 

"How does your head feel? You hit the floor pretty hard." 

"Hurts. Like, a fucking mariachi band." 

"Do you feel sick?" Mom whispers. 

"My stomach hurts, and I feel like I could puke." 

Mom looks at dad, "He's got a concussion. We need to call an ambulance." 

"No!" I choke out. 

"Joshie, you fainted on a hard wood floor, and are bleeding." 

Sara calls 911 as the basement fades into black.....
