And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how R/Hr is destined to end. No matter how many people think it is UST, a relationshiop cannot be based on the fact that you continually annoy the other person to the point of homicidal anger. Ron and Hermione will date a few years then the scene in this story will inevitably come about.
A sad but entirely plausible story that manages to be completely in-character.

I have to agree partially with the comments made so far...this scene is all too likely for Ron and Hermione as they were soon after Voldemort's defeat and sometime afterward, but I don't think it's a complete death knell. Sometimes, painful things need to happen to allow for greater healing.
