The tale we hear,
Is a lie,
They say we're the pawns,
In the game of life.

I have a belief,
That we are the board,
Getting trampled on,
By those we adore.

They stomp and crush,
Our hopes and dreams,
They leave us unraveled,
They're addicted to the screams.

The board one day,
Will fight back,
It will fold on them,
Break, snap, and turn them black.

So they will fall,
And we will rise,
At the end of the world,
It will be their demise.
